  2. Thank you so very much for the cheat sheet. This is so new to me, this cheat sheet helps me to understand the different products, their uses and what to use them with. Now I can start an educated exploration of the different mediums. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thanks for taking the time to make the chart. I know you are busy. It gets confusing sometimes trying to keep up with all the different mediums and the uses for all of them, especially on all the different textures, paper cloth, wood, etc. You need to mention on your site that you have many other tutorials on your YouTube channel.

  7. Thanks Lindsay. The cheat sheet will be really helpful. I was wondering whether you would do or have done a video on brushes. I only have cheap brushes at the moment and would like to know what to buy for what purposes etc.

  10. This was extremely helpful, especially with the chart. Thank you very much. I have one question: Is Floating Medium the same as Flow Medium. What I have is halfway between a gel and a fluid.

    1. read the bottle to be sure, I think you add it to your fresh mixing water but you might just dip a corner of your brush in it, they are close, they make your water wetter (reducing the surface tension of the water and letting paint flow much like glycerin)

  11. Lindsey, I do enjoy your u tube videos/however- I read your blog about graphic stock and downloaded their art to try-the company will not let u try it for free so I did not go through with the download/now they email me everyday and I cannot get rid of them/I enjoy your channel/but ask that u not promote things like that -it is misleading and I now have more email traffic that I do not want/

Thank you, Jeanne Lashmett, IIDA JML Interior Design

    1. They have a 7 day free trial like hulu and netflix and after that if you do not cancel they bill your card. If they did not take the info down people could keep resigning up and abusing the deal, I understand about your apprehension on entering a CC# to try a service. But it is the same as any free trial place like Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. To stop the emails scroll to the bottom and unsubscribe. That should get rid of them. I am sorry you had trouble with this.

  12. Thank you so much! You explained a lot!! I do have one more question however.. At the end of the video you mentioned that you bought a six pack of golden mediums at the Big Box Store. I was wondering do they have a web address and if they do can you please share it with us? I live in Roseville CA and I have never heard of them. Thank you again so much!!

  13. Let me just say…. You are,
    FANT-TAS-TIC-TAB-U-LOUS!!!!!
Thank you for you plethora of knowledge, experience, do’s & don’ts, etc….that you so freely, eagerly share. I have never done any art other than coloring with crayons, but because of you, I followed along and painted the “Corn” & “Hummingbird”. I surpassed my own expectations and enjoyed the entire learning experience.

I have also constructed “Juice” pencil pouches with 2 of my granddaughters, to everyone’s delight.

Again, a BIG shout out to you for showing those of us, Art really is easy, and anything is possible.

    1. I am sorry to say that you probably better toss them. When acrylics dry the go through a chemical change. Even if you used an alcohol to disolve them they will not have the same properties as they did. So sorry:(

  17. Very, very helpful! You clarified much of my confusion. It was difficult to really see the bottles you held up since you are so expressive with your hands. Thanks for presenting just what I needed.
