Hi Friends! First up congrats to Trish Wood, the winner of the ArtNeko stamps from the giveaway I posted last week. If you did not win you can use my coupon code to shop: Lindsay10% and it will save you 10% on non sale rubber. I have 385 entries for that giveaway, holy cow! You like those stamps huh? I don’t blame you, that is why I used their Jellyfish stamp in today’s tip laden video, you will also learn what my sneaky $1 stamping tool is:
Funny, it seems like all of my tips today were about how to use mistakes and push through crafty failure. Doesn’t it feel good to know you are not the only one whose creative mojo takes a hit now and then? What do you do when your crafty mojo is down? I’d love to hear your tips! Leave them in the comments!
Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
Congrats to the winner. =)
I DO love those stamps! =)
On days where I just can’t seem to do anything “right” creatively… I often will “give up” for that day (after a while)…
but sometimes… I do “planning” or “brainstorming” for a project for the next day..
Or do something… like cut, or punch, or die cut… or whatever the pieces needed for something… and stuff. …

I get creative now and then. I am not sure why. But when I find something to paint. I can’t wait to do it.

I rarely stamp any more since digi’s came onto the scene, but I can’t wait to get to Target to get a bag of foam blocks. I have “several” embossing folders. LOL That is such a marvelous tip, thanks for sharing.

I made myself a box of “mojo”. So far I’ve got about 225 ideas on cards. Ideas I see on pinterest, YouTube and blogs. I recycled the cards from a Trivial Pursuit game I bought at a thrift store for 50cents. to use for my mojo cards. I made a little box for them. Simple ideas like use different techniques, use certain colors, products, themes etc.It helped my mojo just making the cards. Iris,SavedbyGrace

OMG, I’m going to do a Target TOUR. I’ve been looking *everywhere* since your first video. And yes, I’ve knocked on a door or two in my day when I’ve had non-buyer’s remorse. Everyone’s been great. I’d encourage you! Thanks, Lindsay!

Hi Lindsay – thanks for keeping it real. 99% of the time what I end up with is totally different than what I planned on at the start. I enjoy your videos much.

Lindsay, get tips. Just rushed out to Target for my blocks. Looking forward to doing your technique tomorrow. I appreciate your “make do” attitude. Also it is very helpful when you discuss your design process.

It’s a rare thing when the card that I end up with is what I thought (if I thought at all, lol) I was going to create when I started! If one thing isn’t working I’ll set it aside and go to a different technique, stamp, or theme. Sometimes I just create background papers…always fun and messy!

I have two ways of getting my mojo to kick in, firstly I watch as many YouTubes as time allows and secondly my husband looks over my should whilst I watch you create something and he teases saying “I bet you couldn’t do that”. It works cos I’m always up for a challenge.
As always love your enthusiasm, cheery nature and wealth of knowledge Denyse xx

Congrats Trish Wood! I’m hoping my local Target has those foam blocks in the store. I thought in the first video you talked about them that you found them at the dollar store and I’ve been looking at my local dollar store ever since, but to no avail! Wish me luck! 🙂

MoJo – Lisa, I have an idea for you – garden kneelers – they are made of the same ‘stuff’ and work exactly like the $1 stuff. I found mine at the garden center, imagine that. Cutting the forms out is another thing – tin snips?? Heavy duty poultry scissors? An Exact o knife – I’ll be careful with that tool? My mojo grew wings and flew out the window on Monday after a couple of hours fussing with digi stuff. I just blew it off and did my Miss Scarlet thingy – ‘oh well, there’s always tomorrow.’ Then treated myself to rotisserie chicken 🙂 sorry Lindsay…

Hi Lindsay,
Happy anniversary! If you ever feel like you’re stuck in a rut again, I’ve got a request for your infamous request list. 😉 In one of your older videos you show how to carve your own stamps. I love watching that video. It fascinates me for some reason. I keep watching it over and over, and it looks like you have carved some beautiful stamps. You briefly show a few from your collection in the video; but I’d love to see more of it. Do you think you could please show us your hand carved stamps in action? Perhaps you could make a card or a journal page with them? I hope it’s okay to leave a request here. I don’t have a Facebook or YouTube account. I do watch all your videos and check your channel several times a day. I always look forward to a new video from you. Thanks for your time and all that you do.
Have a great day. Oh and happy crafting! 😀

I just made a total mess of my backgrounds watercoloured the wrong size for the wrong stamp, cutting my cs in wrong sizes, and not knowing where to go once my images are done. I need to craft when I feel creative and not when I don’t lol. Thanks for sharing all your craftiness. You always have something interesting to try.
P.S. Luv that emb folder. Who makes it? Target here has no craft materials at all! 😦
