Hello friends! Again it is another night I am grateful to have a video planned and in the can LOL! I went swimming at “my pond” with my girls late this afternoon. I am typically a soak in the sun until I am too hot, take a quick dip and back to the sun, type of girl but today I swam. We got home, had dinner and chilled out. One of my girls asked to read to me and as I listened I fell asleep! Swimming really does tire you out…well, me not my kids, they were all going strong until 5 minutes ago LOL! Anyway, it is Wednesday and time for part 4 of the Ask a Crafter marathon Kathy, Lorraine and I filmed earlier this month:
I was thinking what I was going to do on other Wednesdays this summer and I think I will do random crafty vlogs. I’ll chat about one topic and you can tell me your opinion too. It should be fun! I hope you are having a wonderful summer and til next time happy crafting!

Thanks for all the teaching you do – you definitely inspire me, in any format. But I have to ask – what pond do you go swimming in? I often swim at Craig Pond in Orland, and occasionally at my sister-in-law’s on Brewer Lake, but I am always looking for new, fun places to swim.

I found you last month and have been soaking in your past “ask a crafter” videos. I love them and can’t get enough. Thankfully I have many more to watch so I don’t have to go the rest of the summer without this series. Thanks for your time and eagerness to pass your knowledge on to us.

Love all the tutorials and Q/A. I have a tip to share. When I rearranged my studio, I kept a computer desk for doing my paper crafting on. I had removed the top portion because it was not suitable for the position I wanted the desk in, so I was constantly accidentally pushing piles of stuff off the back edge of the table because it was perpendicular to the wall. Hubby to the rescue. He ripped an old shelf board I had lengthwise and attached it to the back edge of the desk providing a barrier that sticks up a couple of inches. I can now slide my lazy susans of markers and stuff all the way to the back edge giving me more space to work….for a while anyhow! LOL Keep the good ideas coming, although I bypassed frugal a long time ago! LOL

Going to miss all of you for the rest of the summer. Here in Georgia our summer starts in May and ends mid-September at the earliest. Enjoy your warm weather while we here are sweltering with the heat and humidity, which I prefer to your cold winters. North Carolina is the furthest north I could live. Love you and your videos and have learned so much.

I have a question, well a series of questions on Gelatos. They are described as watersoluble and permanent by Faber Castell. Well it makes me wonder :
– if gelatos are applied to card without any water what happens if you put water on them when dry (say a week later)? and do they smear if you touch them ?
– if gelatos have been dissolved in water are they affected by water applied later or are they permanent in the same way alcohol or india inks are ?
I would test this myself except they are very expensive on this side of the pond and we can’t get the Gel sticks either!
And finally I enjoy your videos and your frugal tips!!!

if you don’t blend them in or wet them they can still smear later just by touch or water. They are not permanent like inktense or india ink, I think by permanent they mean fade resistant;) Hope that helps:)
