The Most Addictive Craft in the World!

Hello friends! We have another whopper of a storm headed out way, 6-10 inches of snow so I am going to schedule a few posts in case we are without power again. At least I have plenty of crafts to keep me busy! The kids all got Rainbow Looms for Christmas and they have been making bracelets like crazy! It is so fun! I can’t seem to pass by a loom sitting on the table without making a few myself, in fact I think I may have developed a bit of carpel tunnel making these darn things LOL! Anyway, here is a brief overview of the basics of these looms and bands:

I have a couple more videos on different things you can make with the stretch bands on my YouTube channel if you want to see more! I think I need to step away from the looms and go find the snow shovel. Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. Oh the joys of winter, while you are expecting snow we have what is called an “inversion” – pollution stuck in the valley and produces a fog like setting – makes the air very unhealthy.

Any who’s this looks like a fun project to do (don’t have any girls but think it would be still be fun to do myself).

  2. Having no children in the house I asked Santa for a Rainbow Loom and he cheerfully complied. I have made one of every style I could find and now I’m on a mission to find more! Addictive is right!

  3. This looks pretty fun for the kids to make, and with 7 granddaughters, it looks like it would be a great thing to get in grandma´s house for them to play with, when they´re here. And I´m sure, they´ll love all the multicolored bands in a bracelet too. TFS this here.

  4. Lindsay,

What is ragg wool? I think I would like to make some ragg wool socks. I don’t knit but saw some sock looms. Can you give me some guidance on the sock looms and ragg wool?

    I am addicted to YOU!

    Thanks,
    Beth

    1. I think it will knit like any other yarn, you might want to make sure it is machine washable and dryable when you select your yarn. it is supposed to be very sturdy. I have not used a sock loom though but it looks cool!

  5. Addicting is right! My daughter also got one. I have used all the bands and need to go get all the different colors they have, especially the glow ones.

  6. Just stumbled across your blog and am glad I did! I was out shopping the other day and saw these and had no idea what they were really for! I feel lots more projects coming on! Sophie x
