Hi friends, next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-8pm EST (New York Time) I will be teaching live classes through Art of the Carolinas. Due to the pandemic they can’t have the workshops on location so they are bringing the workshops to you over the Internet via Zoom. The cut off for registering for a class is 10pm EST on Saturday night, November 7th.

Monday 11/9/2020: V2009 VIRTUAL WORKSHOP-PAINTING DELICIOUS DESSERTS IN WATERCOLOR

Tuesday 11/10/20: V2017 VIRTUAL WORKSHOP-BEAUTIFUL AUTUMN WILDFLOWER BOUQUETS!
In this lively class you will learn how to compose and paint two beautiful autumn wildflower bouquets. You will try different techniques for loosening up your watercolor paintings and embracing the “hot mess” stage of a painting and once you are warmed up you will learn how to pull structure and form from the chaos and end up with gorgeous paintings that capture the elements of skill and spontaneity! Best of all we will work two paintings simultaneously so you won’t have to wait around for things to dry. When you remove the “precious” feeling from your painting you can really enjoy the process! Wednesday 11/11/20: V2027 VIRTUAL WORKSHOP-GETTING STARTED WITH WATER MIXABLE OILS
Enjoy oil painting without the stink or the mess! Water mixable oils have come a long way from the thin, stiff and weak product we had decades ago. Now we can recreate beautiful works of art with rich, buttery color without the solvents of traditional oils which is perfect if you want to paint at home. In this class you will learn the properties of water mixable oils and paint a pretty jar of bittersweet berries. If time allows we may paint a couple smaller canvas panels. Click here to register!
*Note: Traditional oils or gouache can also be used in this class.
Please be aware that these are live classes and you need to be present during class time with your materials ready to take the class. As far as I know there will not be a recording of the class to access later so plan on being online at class time. These will be small intimate classes, I only have a few people signed up so far so it should be almost like a private lesson from me which I am looking forward to immensely!
