Let’s Paint a Magical Ballerina!

Hi friends! I don’t know about you but I am really going to miss the holiday concerts and recitals that we normally look forward to this time of year. I’m sure there will be opportunities to watch these events on TV and make new traditions with our loved ones but I will miss live in person performances.

Today I have a tutorial that is pretty simple (you can print out the reference photo and trace if you are not confident in your drawing abilities) and you can find the materials for easily. I am using black watercolor paper and metallic watercolors but you can use thick black cardstock or posterboard and metallic acrylics that can be easily purchased in sets and your local chain department store without sacrificing the look of the art. I think this would also be pretty painted on a piece of furniture. This design would make a lovely gift for a young girl I think. Maybe painted as a painting and framed or painted on a toy box to hold dress up items or dance costumes. I know my girls loved this type of thing when they were little. I hope you enjoy this tutorial!
