I have tickets to giveaway & a coupon code! Life is good!

Hi friends! I am absolutely giddy, the folks at Heirloom Productions have given me some tickets to give away for the Heirloom Productions Rubber Stamp show in W. Springfield Massachusetts! I want to make sure the tickets go to folks who want them and live close enough to attend so if you want to win just leave a comment saying if I win tickets I will go! Also, because I am nosy, tell me what you want to see most at the show, a vendor, demos, your favorite crafter perhaps…just kidding! 😀 If you are not sure what to expect check out the Heirloom Productions website where they have a full list of vendors and classes that will be at the show. I will pick winners Sunday and post the winners names on my blog. You will receive your tickets via email. One of my favorite vendors that will be at the show is Lost Coast Designs, I bought my first stamps from them 3 years ago and have been a die hard fan ever since. Because I know everyone cannot get to the show I have a coupon to share with you if you buy more than 6 items, you get 20% off and free shipping! The prices at Lost Coast Designs are very reasonable so that is a really good deal! Use this code when shopping: RSCVC and don’t forget to tell them Lindsay sent you!

***how to use the coupon code: Use the Shopping Cart as usual and put “RSCVC” in the comments area to get your special pricing. If you use a credit card, she will calculate the discount before running your card; if you use PayPal, she will refund the discount back to your account.

Speaking of Lost Coast Designs, here is a fun card I made today with their Wizard of Oz stamps, watch the tutorial to see how!

The card was literally made from scraps near my paper cutter, don’t you love it when projects work out that way. I had just enough poppy paper left over from yesterdays project to use on this card. I only own 4 sets of label dies but they get quite a work out, I love cutting a label layer out of the center of a piece of card stock that is hidden because I can stretch that perfect color paper scrap and save weight on the card for mailing. It is two ways to save money! How about mixing and matching your markers? I recommend newbies to try out different brands in different colors so you can see what markers you prefer, they all work well together as long as they are the same type (alcohol or water-based) and they blend well together too. Why commit to one brand of markers when you are not sure it is the best for you? I love scrap cards, I always feel so good making something with leftovers, it’s like a free project, don’t you think? Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  2. If I win, I will go! Absolutely. *With* hubby, because he really enjoyed it too, and loves participating in my craft stuff.
Left a message on your FB page saying I went for the first time last year because you posted a video on Saturday. (We went on Sunday.) And then I met you there! 🙂 I knew who you were, of course, and you had NO CLUE who I was, naturally. The one-way mirror of the interwebs. LOL!
Anyway, I loved the Lost Coast Designs, too, (Love their articulated skeleton..bought it. ) So many good ones! The Impression Obsession booth blew us away! So many stunning samples to inspire, so many wafer dies that looking *amazing*. Also like the Judikins booth and the US Artquest one. Those were my favs.

  3. Hi Lindsay…another cute card! I was blessed to hang out at an Heirloom Show earlier this year and met the lovely Lost Coast Design’s Lady (her name escapes me at the moment). We were gushing about how nice you are and that you were the reason I have some of their stamps.

Thanks as always, for the inspiration. Enjoy the show!

    Blessings,

  11. I live much too far away to go to the show, so I don’t even expect to be entered to win – I just wanted to say how lovely it is of you and of heirloom to give these tickets away. They did a show near me in Febuary of this year, and I had bought my ticket early, and then got sick and couldn’t make it! I am so sorry to have missed it and I hope they come my way again next year. Have a wonderful time this weekend and please fill us all in when you get a chance. Good luck to those who live close enough to enter.

  12. I love, love, love some of those stamps at Lost Coast Designs. I go and look and look and look and try to decide which ones to get as my budget will not allow me to get all of the ones I am enamored with! What eventually happens (and it just did!) is that I get crippled trying to decide and give up. The coupon is screaming at me to buy, buy, buy, too. How do I decide . . .

  14. Oh and I wish I could go, but pretty unlikely from the other side of the world here ha ha ha, but I´m sooo jealous every time I read about all these amazing shows and classes you people can attend over there. I really wish, we had just a tiny bit of all that here, but it´s obviously not possible to gather enough people here to set anything like this up, so I´ll just have to keep reading about all the ones you people have over there. I hope the lucky ones will hsooo much fun there, when they go.
The card here are fantastic and soooo beautiful.

    1. Richard, can you verify your email address? Heirloom contacted me and said your ticket came back undeliverable to the address you commented in. You can email your email to: artstudiosofbangor@yahoo.com and I will pass it along to heirloom:) I must have it before Wednesday for them to send you a ticket!

  23. Hi Lindsay! I’m always a day late and a dollar short 😉 so I just watched this video Sat after turkey day! I can’t tell you how much I love your tutorials and blogs! You make everything look so dadgum easy. This is embarrassing, but I’m 45 and have recently discovered I love art and crafting, so I’ve been stocking up and buying a little bit here and there, i.e., stamps, markers, cardstock, and so on. I even bought the stuff to make your monoprint plate. The problem I’m having?? I haven’t started or made one thing yet! I think I’m too scared or just don’t even know where to begin?

Anyway, about this video, when used your homemade dauber and inked the edges of scarecrow, I did see yellow, but how did you get the dark color for the edges? Was the dauber double loaded?

One more thing, I promise! How in the world does one afford these incredible, awesome Copic markers? Holy cow??!! Like $400 for a bundle?? What the heck?? Maybe, if I can ever make myself start making SOMETHING, I’ll be able to sell and then be able to afford;-).

I know you’re extremely busy and hope you get this and so much appreciate your help and time!! Also, THANK YOU for all of your amazing tutorials!!! (Sorry for all of the !!!!, can’t help it! 🙂 … )

      1. Hi! Thank you!! Yes, I guess I meant “green.” It appeared yellow on my phone 🙂 So, okay, then, the edges just picked up the color a bit more and this was probably what I’m seeing. Knowing it’s GREEN and not yellow, uhm, really helps! Thanks again!! Happy holidays!
