Good evening friends! I had a great weekend in Springfield MA at the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Show. It was so cool to meet some of you there too, there is nothing like the feeling you get when someone runs up to you waving “hi Lindsay!” What a friendly bunch we stampers are! I was so busy taking everything in that I did not take any pictures, luckily my friend Tracey did and said I could share them. I have a video of what I got at the shop uploading on YouTube as we speak, you can find it on my YouTube channel later this evening, otherwise I’ll blog it tomorrow:) Getting to the show is a bit of an undertaking since we live 5 hours away, we all rode down together, it was great company! We decided to get a little pre shopping in at Micheal’s since we do not have one near where we live and then off to Chilis for dinner:
Did you know that calories don’t count when you are on vacation? you’re welcome.
Then we went back tot he hotel where they let us stamp in the breakfast room:
And I proceeded to make the lamest ATC ever for the ATC contest at the show, needless to say I was not the winner LOL. The theme is Apronology. Kathy came up with a cool name for the ATC “Canned in the Kitchen” because it is an apron on a canning jar…I know, more like lameology right?
But we had fun! Tracey brought her new Koi watercolors and she got a steal of a deal on the cute pink Instax camera at Micheal’s with a coupon. I have never seen those before but that take cute Polaroid like pictures.
The next day we went to the show (more about that on this weeks Ask a Crafter) and shopped till we dropped! I was so tired! We decided to cap it of with dinner at Chili’s again and another stroll around Micheal’s (we had more coupons after all!) and I am telling you I was yawing so bad I could have leaned up against a rack of yarn and fallen asleep! We went back to the hotel and stamped until after midnight! I guess I found my second wind LOL! We showed off the stuff we bought and oohhhed and ahhaed and passed things around (like a bridal shower but with cool stamping stuff!) and finally we dug in! I got a pack of the new Spectrum Noir markers in a colors I did not have to try and I colored this butterfly:
I was happy with them. I used them to color the gems on the bottom of the card too. I also manged to use new patterned paper and two new stamp sets, fun! We all tried out a few of our new goodies but mostly we socialized 🙂 I will share my Heirloom haul video tomorrow but if you get really excited to see it you can find it on my YouTube channel later tonight. Well, I am barely able to keep my eyes open so I am going to say goodnight and happy crafting!
