Card Kit Freebie!

I am a hybrid crafting kinda girl. I love the flexibility of digital but I still love to get my hands dirty with traditional supplies. When I make cards I usually just use scraps leftover from other projects. I love digital paper but I wouldn’t want to print out a full sheet just for a card, ink is expensive you know. So I designed some printable card kits. each kit has enough paper and embellishments for 3 cards. Just print, trim and glue it to a pre-folded card, add a stamp and you’re done.  I made this kit in a school theme for my lovely blog readers just in time to make end-of-the-school-year teacher cards. All of the pattern paper and elements came from one printed sheet. Take a look:

these 3 cards were made with the freebie cardkit printed once, the middle card uses the freebie digital stamp (Lindsay's Stamp Stuff) other rubber stamps are by Inque Boutique.

Here is a closer look at the digital stamp. I colored it with colored pencils and blended it with a pointy Q-Tip and goo-gone:)

  1. Wow, Lindsay – thanks for the freebie! The kits do help to conserve paper, because I have scraps all over and not sure what to do with them a lot of the times, but just keep storing them up!

Wondering, is that the normal card size across the world – because here in Europe we have A4 sized paper so printing letter sized items seems to waste a small part of the paper anyway…I keep wondering about format, but maybe there are no set formats?

    1. Hi Linda,
I designed the kit for making 5 1/2″x4 1/4″ cards, a half of a sheet of cardstock folded (is that a4?) it is designed to leave a boarder around the edge showing the card base (see example) because that is usually how I make cards 🙂 Do you think it woulld be better to have a borderless card, with no white space around the paper? I hadn’t thought of that but I may provide more options! Thanks for getting my brain working so early on a Monday morning!

  2. Lindsay these are awesome! You just solved the dilemma of teacher cards!! I never participate during Teacher Appreciation week because I’m hard-headed. I don’t want them to tell when and how to appreciate the teachers because, to me, then it’s not coming from the heart! So I do it in my own time and you just helped me out with the cards. Thanks a lot!!!

Now I’m going to alter library pockets and pick up some seed packets… won’t the be cute!

  4. Lindsay, thank you so much for this fabulous teacher card kit! Oh sigh. I had SO not wanted to even like this digi world, but Tracey keeps teasing us with fun images and great enthusiasm. It makes it really hard for a gal to resist! And I suspect, I won’t be able to much longer at all. Her teacher’s card is adorable and I think I’m going to have to come back tonight to check out your digi stamps!!! Thank you again! :>
