What I got at the stamp show…

Hi friends! I got my bags unpacked from the Heirloom Stamp show yesterday and it was so fun to go through the treasures I picked up while I was there.  I wasn’t able to attend the show last year so it was especially fun to explore all of the booths and see what the vendors had to offer.

  4. Love to see you use the view master die. Bought one a while back, had to have it, haven’t used it. Be fun to get an old view master and make my own slides family photos!

  6. I’d like to see you demo the flamingo stamp. When I saw it I loved it, but thought it would be too fussy to get it positioned properly. I did get a few stamps and dies at Rubbernecker and some of the Versa Clair inks. The inks were at a great price. Wanted them all, but just got a few colors that I knew I would use.

The show was a bit overwhelming. So many wonderful things all around. The presenters were great. I especially liked the gentleman at Rubberneckers and Sally Lynn MacDonald from Gel Press (thanks for the link). They were fun to talk to and I learned a lot.

I’m just now going through my stash. I bought a ton of paper from The Paper Cut and Marcos Paper. Such amazing deals. I also got several very nice stamps from various vendors. I had to keep reminding myself to only buy things that I could think of a way to use often enough to make them worth the price.

Your classes were so much fun. All the ladies were very nice and I did not do as badly as I feared. When I got home and looked at it again, I was surprised how much I liked at least parts of my attempts.

    Can’t wait for next year.

    1. I’m glad you had a great time! often with classes you are learning and trying so many things that it is all about the process and when you get home and try the techniques again when you can practise and take your time you get the best results. I can’t wait t try the alcohol ink on the gelli plate, I also did some alcohol ink marbling in a make n take thursday night that I might try again, so many fun ideas! It was nice to see you at the show!

  7. I would like to see some cards with the wooden shapes and brads. I keep buying them and haven’t used them. I am curious about how the new ink pads look when used for stamping or watercoloring.

  8. Hey Lindsay,
So I watched your haul – not so much a waste of time, because I can’t wait to try that Gelli-plate printing with alcohol inks. Anyway, after I watched Sally Lynn MacDonalds video I stumbled onto another technique called Magazine Resist Technique – I urge you to give that a try too, the results are also totally amazing.
    Cheers

Thanks for sharing your haul. Technique Junkies is one of my favs. We happened to select the same stamp with the cups and mugs.

Any videos with the TJ stamps or the stencils would be cool. I have plenty of both.
