Stamping Succulents! (BTW I designed these stamps!)

Hi friends! I am so pleased and humbled by the response to my first line of rubber stamps with Rubber Stamp Tapestry. It is a wonderful feeling to know my artwork will inspire others to make their own art. Today I am going to share one of my new sets: Succulents.

I designed these stamps to be used together to make scenes and arrangements but I also want them to be big enough to be used on their own if you just want to do a quick & simple card. I also wanted you to be able to use them with other stamps you already have because in order for my stamps to earn a place on your craft table they need to make your other stamps and supplies more useful.

In today’s tutorial I am going to show you 3 different ways to create masked scenes with these stamps so you can use them on their own or with other plant pot stamps you have. I will also show you how to layer colored pencils to create rich images with depth and contrast.

  1. My succulent stamps arrived yesterday and they are beautiful! I love the size of the stamps. I couldn’t find the sizes for each image on the listing when I bought them, so you might think about asking the seller to have that added. Even the range of sizes would be helpful. I bought them knowing I would love them even if they were tiny, but they are a very nice size.

  2. Hi Lindsay just bought your succulent and country garden stamp sets as a longtime watcher and learner of your videos. Thanks for all your videos. Watched your watercolor videos. Still am a stamp newbie even though I have a lot of them.

I watched the video tutorial on You Tube and left a comment there and on your blog post.

Congratulations again Lindsay on this new venture, the stamps are lovely and I am sure we are going to see a lot more video tutorials on using the different stamp sets in the future.

    Till next time.

  7. Thanks for making the masking technique so clear and easy to understand, Lindsay. I would love to see you make some cards using your tree stamps. I’m heading to the phone to place my RST order.

  8. When I saw your finished cards I couldn’t understand how you set up the varying perspectives of the images because I’ve never done any stamping.
Thanks for posting this video. You make creating with stamps look so easy and fun 🙂

  9. These drawings are so beautiful. Congratulations on these new stamps. I also noticed the gold and turquoise frame around the taller drawing. Is this printed paper or do you have a technique to get this effect? I would like to duplicate this look when I get the stamps I ordered. Love watching your channel and your joy.
