  11. Those stamps are awesome and I love look of stamping on the molten embossing powder, perfect together. If you don’t have gears, and you have an electric die cutter you could just cut several layers, glue them together and emboss that. I made a great pair of earrings that way.

(Killer clearance, picked up lots of fun stuff to play with and a magnetic plate for my die-cutter with 10 dies for only $17!!!) Always looking for ways to make a more masculine feeling card, mostly for my boy and his boy! This one is way fun. Thanks so much for multiple fun techniques and some great gears.

  17. Thanks you Lindsay. Just LOVE the card, but I am a steampunk and vintage freak. I always make the inside of my cards look worthy of the front of the card. My friends who make cards have jumped on the bandwagon too. I also make sure to bring some of the elements to decorating the envelope. In this digital age, it’s so exciting to get snail mail so I want the recipient to feel joy as soon as they see the decorated envelope in their mailbox. One doesn’t have to get carried away with the inside of the card, but it’s so easy to carry over an element from the card front, such as a stamped image or crate a punched border using a color from the front. Thanks so much for another wonderful tutorial!!!

I didn’t think I was interested (I thought it was going to be all cutesy teddy bears and geese type stuff), but I went to a Stampin’ Up! party to be polite. We made an embossed project, and I’ve been hooked ever since! 🙂

  68. I have a question….Do you have to use rubber stamps in the hot embossing powder? I wouldn’t mind trying the stamping in hot embossing powder, but don’t want to ruin my clear stamps, in case the powder should melt or deform them in any way. Thank You..

    1. hmmm, they should be fine, especailly the cheaper silicone stamps. Make sure to ink it well in clear embossing ink or glycerin first and maybe test it with a stamp that is not your favorite.

  80. I have watched so many of your videos, since I discovered you a couple of months ago. I love how you give such detailed instructions with lots of positive energy. I never really thought that I could paint or draw.. but you have inspired me to try and learn. I have ordered some supplies that are within my budget but will hopefully not discourage me due to the quality and performance, like some water colour pencils I purchased recently. I am now like a child at Christmas time waiting for the packages to arrive. I was following the path of jewelry making before which was a huge love of mine and was just about ready to open a business and had all the boring back office stuff completed, when due to a very unfortunate event and a slimy move by our mortgage company that we had for 12 years. (long story) my x husband got a hold of all of my supplies that were in storage, like 7 years worth of collecting and buying on cleareence and sales ext….gemstones sterling silver wire ect…. And he and his wife sold everything. which I have no way to prove. So anyway long story short. I’ve had been looking for another creative outlet and that is when I found your you tube page. I can not thank you enough for all the video lessons you provide that are free. You have encouraged me to really give this a good 150% try with all of confidence you give by doing your videos. I love your youtube channel and now I found you here on pinterest. I also have your crafty class ready to go for when my supplies come in. hopefully in a few days although I am wishing for today lol. So thank you so very much for all you do, and for all the positivity you instill just by your bright, bubbly, energetic and positive energy that you share. So that is my story book of how I came to find you. I always seem to type more than I intended so sorry for that. I am looking forward to watching many more of your videos in the near future. Thank you for giving me the encouragement to believe that I can do this. Even though in the past, stick figures, trees and a house has been the extent of my drawing ability so hopefully some small piece of talent is hiding somewhere inside me. I really hope I will be able to paint like my Brother can, which I have always envied a bit lol. So again thank you so very much for all you do for everyone. Many blessings to you and your family.
