Today we have a chatty video! I made this card for my friend Kelly who wrote the book The Rainbow Pants so I thought this card would be perfect. Grab your watercolors and let’s get started!
Supplies:
- Watercolor paint
- Clear embossing ink
- Black pigment ink
- White and black cardstock
- 1 sheet of 12″x12″ colorful scrapbook paper (K&Company from one of the 360 sheet pads)
- Stamp, Happy birthday noteblock from Purple Onion Designs
- A7 (that means 5″x7″ folks!) envelope templates from Greensneakers
All the instructions (including what not to do) can be found in the video. Have a great night and til next time happy crafting!
I love the purple onion designs block stamps. They come for all different holidays! I love the mega mount, I think they are really helpful for large stamps. If you ever have time, you should try doing a video on the MISTI tool. It is awesome if you have an image that doesn’t stamp perfectly. If is fairly new, but I use mine all the time since I got it. I know it is kind of expensive, but I really think it is worth it. I love mine!

I love the look of the misti tool too! But I’m waiting to get the money in the budget (and not have the hubby slaughter me) before I buy one. I’m glad to hear someone else is enjoying it, that way I wont feel as guilty when I finally buy mine.

Love it Lindsay, its always nice to sit and listen to you talk while you work. I can’t draw and talk. haha. But I love to put on a playlist of your vids and watch the newest while I’m knitting or crafting.

I love this idea! I picked up a hint about using a clean coffee filter to tap the embossing powder or glitter on. Neither will stick to it and it bends better than paper, so there is no waste! As usual Lindsady, you take something simple and make it spectacular!!

Love MISTI stamping tool, what a great invention for us who drop their stamps all the time, solves all my issues. Was just going to mention it to you Lindsay and noticed others have too. Here is a link to Illiana who created it. http://mysweetpetunia.com/64-2/ There are many more videos on youtube showing various things you can do with it also. I found Maureen’s videos enormously helpful.

I ordered from Tape Depot because I had more people recommended them and there were a couple people who had trouble with a few rolls from tape jungle, the price was the same and the websites looked pretty similar so they might actually be the same company;)

This has got to be one of my favorites… mainly since this is how my projects go…. the “oops”… well, let’s go to plan B! When you do videos like this it is not just you and me… it makes me feel like I am with the whole group who loves you!. The old adage… “People may not remember what you said, but they will remember how you made them feel,” is so true. You make us feel that we can do it. ( Thank goodness we can “rewind” haha, and watch it over). Lindsay, you help “make my day” !! sending {{hugs}}

I love That you made your own embossing buddy. Did you use a certain kind of fabric?

just cotton, any thing is fine though as long as it is not to loose a weave.
