It doesn’t seem to matter how much time I plan to get ready for a party, I always seem to be running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off two hours before it starts. Maybe it’s because I spent a day on the cakes (A WHOLE DAY folks!) or maybe I am too particular (nah, probably not) or maybe it’s because I leave the quick, mindless tasks for last. Well, this project is quick, mindless and easy! A great one to store away for when you need to make quick favors for a party or a classroom full of kids. They only take a minute (or less) to make when done assembly line style! Watch the video to see how:
OK, I know what you’re thinking “geez, Lindsay, you really knocked yourself out with this one” snore. But listen, you can easily dress up these bags but trimming the top edge of the bag with decorative edge scissors before assembling or adding ribbon handles. For Halloween you could make the bags from orange cardstock and draw on Jack-o-lantern features, or make a green bag with a Frankenstein face, or a pale purple faced vampire. I chose to use bold thick patterned scrapbook paper. This paper is gorgeous but too bold for cards and scrapbook pages but perfect for this plain bag. No, it’s not flashy, but it’s useful and it’s something we can realistically whip out an hour before a party and sometimes that’s just what we need. Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
Thanks for this cute tutorial. Very useful.

This is a great way to use up those 12×12 ugly papers in my paper pads. Mine are white on one side—the ugly can go inside and I can embellish the outside in a colorway that complements the inside. Thanks for the idea–I have a lot of ugly paper-HA!. I’ve been using it to make envelopes. Now I can get rid of it faster.
