What a weekend! My sister got married! It was a beautiful wedding, we all had a great time but man when it was over we were all wiped out! Here’s the card I made her using my brand new Rubber Cafe stamps:
I used the Renaissance Fairy stamp and water-colored it and applied a thick coat of Martha Stewart gel glue and a generous amount of Diamond Dust glitter. I love this glitter because it is super sparkly but clear so you can still see the image beneath.I cut my title out of self adhesive vinyl (freebie from a sign shop) using SCAL software, Victorian LET font and my Cricut on pressure setting 3.
Why are envelopes so expensive? They are just thin pieces of paper with a couple of folds and glue and if you want a square one they are double! Well don’t fret cuz you will never need to buy another one! Here is how to make custom square envelopes:
Place the card you want to make an envie for in the center of a 12×12 piece of pattern paper. I like to buy the paper in stacks on sale so they are only 6 cents a sheet, then I use the less than beautiful sheets for my envelopes.
fold the two sides to the middle, unfold, then fold the top and bottom to the middle keeping the card in place. You can cut cardboard to your most often used card sizes and use that as a folding template instead of the actual card if you like.
Use a circle cutter (or trace around a plate) to cut your flaps.
Place the card inside and fold the flaps around the card. Tuck the last flap under the first flap and secure with a sticker. The sticker will cover any gap where the flaps meet.
If your card is larger than 6×6 than turn it diagonally on the 12×12 sheet and fold in the corners rather than the sides so you will have more paper to work with for the flaps.
