Howdy friends. First up I wanted to let you know that I have a 30% off sale in my MyGrafico shop today and tomorrow so if you want to grab some digital goodies everything is on sale from painting kits to digi stamps and everything in between! Now on to the fun! I had been asked to do an oil painting video and I really wanted to but dealing with longer videos was not an option until we replaced our antiquated computer. I wanted to make a relaxed video demonstrating some oil techniques while also instructing you to make a beautiful painting. Did I hit the mark?
I can see areas for improvement but I am pretty happy with it. I forgot how much I enjoyed working in oils. I always dreaded the cleanup and stinky solvents so working with water mixable oils was perfect. You can use whatever kind you prefer, even acrylic paint if you use a bit of extender with it. Remember if you want any digi product from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff it is all 30% off through tomorrow midnight (MyGrafico shop only) so don’t wait! Here are some items that you might like with fathers day right around the corner:
Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Howdy friends! First of all and want to thank everyone who purchased a Bow Making Jig, they have been selling as fast as my hubby can make them. So of course I want to make sure that if you bought one you have more cool ways to use it. This idea came from my mom:
Cool huh? Now, if you are handy there is no reason you can’t drill holes in wood and stick some dowels in them, that is totally cool but if you don’t want to you can purchase one of our hardwood jigs here. You also get two sets of box making templates with it (I throw these in to offset the cost of shipping.) If you ordered a jig before I offered the free box templates just send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and I will email the templates out to you. I always hate it when I buy something and then it goes on sale or there is a better offer so I want to make it good for everyone who ordered. I’ll be posting a cool necklace made on the jig in a few days too, it is really a fun useful tool. Well, that is enough shameless selling for one night! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Howdy folks! A couple weeks ago I asked my husband to make a stick of wood with some holes for dowels so that I could tie bows on it. He obliged and I liked it so much I asked if he would be willing to make more to sell. He said sure and I made this video and listed them here in my Shophandmade shop. Here are the Bow Making Jigs in action:
The original jigs were made from an extra walnut and maple chess board he had made. The thin strips of hardwood were glued on Plywood and strips of that were on a cherry base. I loved the way it looked but the amount of orders we received in the first two days completely used up our supplies! Then we started branching out into better woods, here are the new bow making jigs in walnut and maple.
They are hefty at a pound a piece and are very easy to use not to mention pretty enough to leave out. We kept the price the same but had to charge a bit more for shipping due to the weight. You can buy your very own Bow-making jig for $20 plus $6.75 S&H in my shop! (international shipping is more, sorry 😦 ) Bust since I HATE charging so much to ship it I decided to throw in another bonus, you will get my Pretty Packaging and Box Bonanza SVG & Printable template set, an $8 value, with this purchase along with the $4 of free digital product you earn ($1 for every $5 spent in my Shophandmade shop) normally. The template set and free product of your choice will be emailed to you so be sure you look for my email after ordering.
So, if you want a beautiful hardwood USA made bow-making tool made lovingly for you and shipped with the utmost care please check out the ones my hubby made! Thanks so much for enduring my shameless promotion tonight and til next time happy crafting!

Hello Friends! Whew, what an odd day, firstly it was nearly 70 degrees, I woke up at 5:30am and turned on the news and the weather man said it would be 68 today! Well I hopped out of bed, got the coffee started and jumped in the shower because there was no way I was going to miss a second of a warm spring day! I decided I wanted to paint something springy so I did a rose in watercolor, and shot a tutorial of course. But, something funny happened to my tutorial during its journey through cyberspace, it changed from a 17 minute drawing and painting tutorial to a 48 minute jerky video with no audio, it was the weirdest thing. I have to say it was probably much more relaxing to watch me paint without the yammering on though. I asked a few people to watch it to see if it was just me but alas no, the problem was widespread, unfortunately it was already live when I noticed this so I made the video private in hopes that the video would fix itself (it’s the same philosophy I have when my car acts funny, leave it be and hope it works itself out LOL!) but it was clear that the team of highly trained monkeys that keep my YouTube channel running were unable to fix this so I rechecked my video (fine on my end) and uploaded it again. So here you go, let’s paint a rose and this time I mean it! 😀
Also today I worked on illustrating some flowers from past videos. I had a couple of viewers ask for digital stamps of the flowers that I have demonstrated in my free painting tutorials and I thought it was a great idea so here is my new Spring Flowers digital stamp set:
Currently I only have this up at MyGrafico. I have been having some trouble with my Shophandmade shop (me, technical difficulties? no way.) and my team of highly trained monkeys are busy maintaining my YouTube channel currently so what are you gonna do right? I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial despite having to wait for it. Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Howdy friends! I hope you had a good April Fools Day, Mine started early with my twin daughters up at the crack of dawn trying to prank their brother LOL! I have no tricks up my sleeve for you but I do get to announce the winner of the dragonfly stamps and gift certificate from About Art Accents (drum-roll please) Dawn Y. Yay! Check your email for your confirmation and info on how to get your prize. Speaking of Dragonflies here is a tutorial on how to paint one in colored pencils:
I just love the rich color I get with my colored pencils! The digital stamp is available here in my ShopHandmade shop. I have been filling orders like crazy today, apparently everyone is in the mood to color! If you want to order multiple items and combine payments you can email me at email@example.com, there is a glitch in the shop where it asks you to pay separately for every item, it is fine if you want to do it that way but if I combine the order it saves me paypal fees and you get a free $1 worth of product for ever $5 you spend so if you rack up $15 in stamps you get 3 images (or $3 worth of product) free! I was just made aware of this glitch so if you placed separate orders totaling over $5 just email me and I will make it right. Aint technology grand? To clarify the orders ordered from my Lindsay’s stamp stuff shop handmade shop are emailed out within 24 hours. If you want instant downloads you can shop Lindsay’s stamp stuff @ MyGrafico, but the stamp I used today had been retired from my MyGrafico shop because it was an older design.
If you need any help using digital stamps you can see my easy tutorial using free simple software here. Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by my shop and ordered this set today, I truly appreciate it! Happy crafting!
