Ever After Blog Hop & Giveaway!!!

Hi friends! I have some wonderful & exciting news! I am going to be teaching
on Ever After this year! I saw the beautiful artwork from many talented instructors last year and I am so happy they asked me to be a part of this years crew! And even MORE exciting news is that I can give away 1 space on this magical new collaborative
art course! Keep reading if you want to find out more about Ever After and if you want to find out how you can win a spot! 🙂

First let me tell you a bit more about Ever After in case you haven’t heard about it yet!
“Ever After” is a mixed media art & style development course with a fairytale theme hosted by Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts. Tam is joined by 14 popular mixed media art teachers who will all share beautiful fairy-tale & myth inspired lessons with you AND they will also divulge all their hints and tips on how they developed their own style and how YOU TOO can find your own unique voice as an artist! 🙂 Yay!

My chosen fairy tale is The Wizard of OZ. My lesson will be inspired by this
fairy tale, I have some fabulous ideas cooking! I’ve not fully developed my class idea yet, but I’m excited to be sharing my drawing, layering and perspective techniques with you, much like you can see in this painting I did for Lifebook last year.

My artist abilities are definitely better because of you and it is a joy to participate in this artist ic world.   3. SO happy to see you are teaching in EverAfter this year Lindsay. I would love to win a spot. I’ve been part of LifeBook for the past 2 years. I haven’t participated in EverAfter before. I have recently realized how much storytelling is involved in painting, or at least the type of painting I like to paint. I’m looking forward to particpating in EverAfter this year to see how different artists tell stories in their art.

  27. I would love to win a spot as I have always adored fairy tales and would benefit from the style development section of the course. Having fairy tales as the theme would would be fun, as you can try multiple styles and they would all work.

    Which version of The Wizard of Oz are you considering? The movie or the book? They are both great, but quite different in many ways.

  28. This is a blog hop and art classes after my own heart! I have a tremendous collection of fairy themed crafting supplies but seldom know what to do with them. I’ve just recently started drawing and painting again after a long absence and I think a class like this would be very healing and inspirational to me. I love all the Frugal Crafter videos and look forward to meeting more creative spirits in this mixed media adventure! I’d love to be a part of it.

    You had me at “Wizard of Oz” as your subject!!
    Of course, I have always loved the story! And our Mom made watching it on TV once a year a real event for my brother and sister and me. This was way before the rights to these types of movies were available for multiple showings all year. It was only shown in my area once each year, in the springtime. We would get to have soda/pop and chips and dip for a real treat! Many, many years later I got my first Cairn Terrier – same breed as Toto. And it was love at first sight. I now have my third Cairn, and we watch WoOz whenever it is on, and of course, root for Toto! So, count me in for all things WoOz!! I even have that stamp set you’ve shown before that has the yellow brick road stamp, along with classic renditions of Dorothy and her friends.

  40. I would love to win a spot as I have been trying to learn how to draw fairytale type art for my granddaughters room. I also teach them how to paint with watercolor and at 6 and 4 they are quite good so far. The llttle one is just 14 months but I expect she will be painting in the coming months as well.   47. I’m 60 years old. I have 6 brothers and 3 sons. Trying to create a little whimsical in my life has been difficult with so many males around me during my life.   55. I suffer from anxiety and depression, art helps me survive. This last year has been extremely difficult with a sick spouse, and my own health issues. Putting all that aside, I find solace in art, the way the paint feels, the dimples in the watercolor paper, the smooth ink and creamy gellatos. Texture is in everything we see and feel in the artistic world, but also in our lives. We learn to navigate the curves and pain and smiles and tears all through the beautiful art that is life. Taking a jaunt into fairy land would be an awesome opportunity to escape a bit of reality for a moment and dream on clouds of cotton candy and and sunflower suns.
