Dahlia Fold Card & Tone on Tone Stamping!

Hi friends! Need a quick, interesting and elegant card? Try this one!

daliha_blog

Supplies are simple and you probably have everything you need on hand already (it is a good project to use up scraps too!) Watch the video to see how.

This video is sponsored by Rubber Stamp Tapestry use coupon code: LINDSAY17 – 20% off peg stamps and peg stamp sets of orders of $10 or more. Coupon expires July 3, 2017

Supplies:

  • Stamp Set: Sunny Daisy
  • Dye Based ink in Pink, Green and Yellow (or a darker shade of the cardstock you are using)
  • Cardstock in pastel shades pink, green, yellow and white
  • White envelope
  • Ink brushes
  • Foam tape
  • Double stick tape

Follow the directions on the video to make this fun card! It is a lot of fun and you can really make a dent in your scrap pile! I have a tip to make your paper scraps more useful: Sort cardstock scraps in hanging file folders by color (ie reds together, blues together, greens together…) and go to the scrap folder before cutting into a new sheet. I have the folders in one of the hanging file crates you can get at Target or Walmart around back to school time. You can even stack several crates together and put supplies you don’t need to access often underneath but I keep my paper scrap crate on top because I am always reaching into that one! Have a great weekend and til next time happy crafting!

  1. I love this card, especially because I don’t need to buy a lot of things to make it … as you said, I could even write the “stem”. The flower might also look nice made of tissue paper or origami paper.

I’m not good at folding paper with it ending up precise so I’ll make a template for a 60° angle and fold the flaps of the petals around it. If I don’t do that no two petals will be the same, I’m SURE!

  2. Thanks for another peg stamp card…It is wonderful!! Absolutely love the peg stamps, tho they’re a bit habit forming. They are so much fun and that’s what it’s all about isn’t it?

  4. Great card Lindsay! I really love the sentiment as an integral part of the image!!! I know it was kinda serendipity that you thought of it as you were filming, but I hope that means you are coming out of the mental block / missing mojo feelings you were talking about. 🙂

  5. Thanks for a great card idea. And thanks for introducing me to RST. I love their stamps. I finally bought the color dusters from them as well. You have taught me so much since I started following your blog. Thanks you!
