How About a Haul? Dollar Tree that is!

Hi friends! I wanted to pop in really quick tonight and share the fun Christmas craft supplies I snagged at Dollar Tree this week. I am not sponsored by Dollar Tree, I just like sharing a deal and the seasonal stuff sells so fast I did not want you to miss out if you wanted anything. Still kicking myself that I didn’t pick up an extra brain mold at Halloween LOL! Oh, and I forgot to show it in the video but I got a great wire wreath form too with 4 rows of wire on it in the floral department. C’est la Vie!

Video!

Sorry I didn’t have  a blog post for you yesterday, I needed a break:) We went to the Shriners Festival of Trees in Bangor, WOW 80 Christmas trees all decked out with awesome presents under them, you can buy tickets and drop them in the buckets by the trees you like and they draw a winner for each tree, I hope we win one (then I just might leave my decorations in the attic and plunk that beauty down in my Living room LOL!) It is a great fundraiser and I was glad to see it packed because the Shriners help so many sick kids who never see a bill for their treatments at Shriners Hospitals. And last night I got together with a dozen moms and we went out to dinner and to see the last Hunger Games movie, Mockingjay Part 2, we have done this every year (watching a different YA book inspired movie) since our kids started school, it is a lot of fun and laughter! I am so glad to be part of a great community in real life as well as online:) I hope you have a good week and I hope you have some time to pause, relax and enjoy. Til next time happy crafting!

  1. Great haul! Just had to comment about the candles. I was needing some place setting favors for our monthly group & of course, waited till the last minute. Was going to maybe find something that popped out at me at Michaels & noticed the Dollar Tree a couple of doors down. I needed a dozen of something & came upon these Spiced Pumpkin candles, and they actually had a dozen of them. All I did was tie some twine around the jars with a couple of leaves from some old fall garland I had. Quick project & they turned out great!

  3. I love the Dollar Tree!! Always go back to the kids section and check out their stickers. I got great pearl ones in graduated sizes and fall 3D flowers and birds that have been great for making cards. I have also found watercolor paper, not high quality, but okay for some projects. They have some tissue paper that I’ve used in card making that have textures and designs. Hit or miss but worth the trip. I love your bowls and plates as well as the white soup mugs. Inspired to go back tomorrow and see what’s there. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Loved your shopping video. Often I just cannot get my enthusiasm up for shopping or for the little items I need to have on hand and this helped so much to have you excited about products and your ideas for how to use them–ah, the possibilities.

  5. Thanks so much! I saw the video yesterday and went to the Dollar Store today. I needed jingle bells for some ornaments I am making, but also got some lovely washi tape, ribbon and some plain small (2.75 x 5.25 x 8.5) gift bags that were 3/$1. I’ll be decorating these for small presents.

  6. Add me to everyone else big thumbs up–i haven’t seen these items in my DT–but i shop it often and am fortunate to live in an area that has about 10 scattered about so whatever part of town i’m in, i can stop–and they all seem to carry a lot of different things–or more of something if you can’t find at one. Last year i found a great sized foil baking pan that i wanted to use for my brownie gifts–so i ordered online by the case rather than run all over town trying to find. Free shipped to my nearest store. Great convenience. Do continue to show us your hauls!!

  8. Love the haul videos! How about a quick card using the SW wrapping paper! Gift card or tag… I know, very basic, but your husband would probably enjoy. 🙂 Also last year you did some cool holiday cards w/ the washi tape (the tree comes to mind). (guess you could say that I’m in holiday card mode, finally).

  11. Lindsay, I always love your haul videos. Our version of the Dollar Tree has been gone for about a year and a half now so I really appreciated this one. We are suppossed to get another Dollar Store in Nov. or Dec. and thanks to you I won’t feel guilty shopping there.

  12. You’re so lucky. Stopped by our Dollar Tree just a bit ago after watching your video and they had NOTHING like you got! 😦 I was really hoping for a washi tape haul. So, I’m bummed. Seems like every time I see something on someone’s blog that they got at the Dollar Store (or even Michaels and a couple of other discount chains that often have crafting bargains) my local stores never have the same stuff… or any other good stuff. I have come to believe that stores in my part of the country get left out when inventory is being distributed! grrr!
