Metallic Stamping with PanPastels & Stamp Winner!

Hello friends! Well, the last time I looked at a clock it was lunchtime. Ever had a day like that? That’s fine, I like busy days once in a while and I love days when I get to announce winners! I got over 500 entries on the Artneko giveaway post and the lucky winner is…. Ruth Pfinder! Ruth, check your email! OK, I’m gonna keep this post short but I do have a fun technique video using clear embossing ink and metallic chalk. I am using the metallic PanPastels Hubby got me for Christmas but you can use whatever you have. Watch the video to see how it is done:

Video! Sorry, email subscribers, I still can’t get the video thumbnail to show up in email so you’ll have to see it on my blog:(

Did you like the triple looped bow? If you want to get your paws on one of the handmade wooden bow making jigs my husband makes than you can email me at artstudiosofbangor@yahoo.com and I will send you a PayPAl invoice and ship one right out to you! Thanks to the several people who ordered today already after watching the video, it is very much appreciated;) The butterfly stamp I used is by ArtNeko and papers and cardstock are from the scrap bin. Thanks so much for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. LOVE buttons. But in this case i agree with stampinpenguin. Simple is best! Lindsay I look forward to your videos every day. I think my family is probably sick of hearing me mention you!

  2. I agree that simple is best for this. Love the shimmer. The bow jig is awesome too. Could you use metallic pigment powders for this technique rather than the pan pastels? Or maybe they’re the same thing. Bought some awhile back but haven’t played with them yet.

    1. check your spam folder and see if it id in there, then click on the email and check “not spam” and you should be all set. You can also add the email address wordpress sends it from to your address book and it will help keep it out of spam. Also some email servers seperate blog and social media notifications in a “social” folder, that might be where my posts have ended up. Let me know what you find out! Thanks!

  6. Hi Lindsay 🙂
    Congratulations Ruth!!!
I agree with the above responses, “simple is best” and your card is lovely. I love the triple looped bow and it is so easy to make.
On a previous video you made butterfly bookmarks and mentioned you could use packaging tape to cover them. I tried your technique of using the packaging tape to cover some Easter bookmarks I just made for the Seniors Group that I volunteer with and it worked perfectly. I gave your name to the Seniors Group and said you had given me the idea on how to make bookmarks. They were so thrilled with them and I just had to say “THANK YOU, LINDSAY” for sharing your many, many talents with me.
    Best wishes.
