    1. Hi Jennyfer, it came with my blue glue gun and it is really kind of tippy, I think a glass or metal bread pan with a sillicone liner would be best. I get asked all the time about that stand though:)

  1. When I watched this on your youtube channel I must have dozed off near the end–it was late at night. Someone commented about the exchange about the color wheel so I had to rewatch. When Lorriane said “I wasn’t paying attention, if I like a color I use it” it was so stinkin funny. You two go together like milk and cookies–or coffee and cookies LOL. Happy Holidays to you and yours!

  3. I loved this episode! When Lorraine said she wasn’t paying attention I just about fell off the chair laughing. I have a tip for anyone who sews or quilts. Instead of throwing away the bits left over, stuff them into a pillow made from other left over fabric, and then donate it to the local animal shelter for the puppies or kittens to sit on. So much better to do this than throwing them in the garbage.

Merry Christmas and all the best for a Happy and Healthy New Year.

    1. Oh Kathy, I did, I am so sorry not to have written you a thank you, I have been so busy with assignments and getting stuff ready for my craft fair Saturday that I had not got a chance to write you. I think it is great and very thoughtful. The Santa owl was adorable, my daughters asked if we could make them for our library craft night!

      Thanks again and merry Christmas!

  5. Hello,
Concerning the Scal 2 to work with your Cricut yes you can find it on Ebay but the it will not work unless you DOWNDRADE you Cricut machine.Mine is Version 2 and I confirm it does not work (but I did not try the downgrade). It is now up to you if you want to give it a try or not.
Please if you do try, please let me know if it worked !!
    Good luck to you/

  8. Happy Christmas to you and yours. I have 2 quick questions:
1-Will the glycerine gelli plate need refrigeration to extend it’s life ? and
2- is there anything l can add to regular acrylic paint to thicken the body to make it heavy bodies. ( reference billiards thick and thin YouTube)

    MAny thanks

    1. Hi Christine, no it will not need refrigeration and to thicken acrylic paint try mixing latex caulking in white, clear or black depending on how you want your color to look:) Happy holidays!

  9. I have a Cricut … I’m almost annoyed (with myself) that I bought the wrong die cut machine. LOL I remember when I was looking for an alternative that the only one I’d heard of was the Cricut. That infomercial made it look so easy. Darn those advertisers with marketing skills! It was too expensive to be collecting dust in the corner of my office with my treadmill. I would like to eventually get rid of the Cricut and get one of the other ones you’ve mentioned. In the mean time I just got a Big Shot because it looks simple & easy to use, tho that hasn’t been tested yet. My wish is that some day you do a video series on die cutting. Like machine comparisons with the pros & cons of each OR how you can work with one that has known limitations. I don’t know if you own them all, if not maybe your local craft store would be willing to let you & Lorraine do an on location field trip to take them all for a test drive while you do a comparison of what they can & can’t do? Also you’ve mentioned in a video that you die cut daily, I’d love to see a collection of what you can do with these machines. It sounds like I should be able to do a lot more than I’m currently doing with the Cricut, which isn’t much. I’m frugal but willing to pay for ease of use, versatility & flexibility. I love Loraine! She is so patient. You are The Doctor and she is the amazing companion that allows you to explain your complicated crafty/arty-ness! Will Loraine ever bring in a project as a guest? Maybe bring in a finished project and share hints, trouble shooting or short cuts etc?

  10. Hi there! I have a question for your next AAC episode. First of all will you please show your necklace with the little bike a bit closer. I love that you use acrylic beads with glass. Can you show all of the Jesse James acrylic beads and all of the colors? I have looked at my local JoAnn’s, but can’t find them. Next, I would love for you and Lorraine to both discuss in great detail what crafty stuff you got for the holidays. Can you ask Lorraine to show some of her handmade cards. I have always been curious what she makes. One last question…I have been seeing lots of videos from crafters using stencils from Simon Says Stamp and PaperTreyInk with stencil paste for a little raised heart look etc. for Valentine’s Day cards or snow scenes. My question is can you use Gesso in place of stencil paste or does the actual paste give a better result? Thanks for all your hard work and I look forward to your 2014 videos!
