Free Watercolor Video Tutorial: Eggs & Nest

Hello friends! Today I felt like painting…and sharing…and sharing my love of painting so I decided to make a video showing you how to paint this simple watercolor card:

DCF 1.0

Anyone can do this, all you need is a piece of watercolor paper (or watercolor greeting card), a round brush (either a #8 brush and a jug or water or a water-brush) and watercolor paints or watercolor crayons. Ready? Here we go!

So, what did you think? Ready to give it a try? I am hoping to bring you more easy watercolor tutorial videos if you want them:)

DCF 1.0

Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

  1. I like your painting and yes I watched it all the way through. I could watch you all day long you always seam so happy and bubbly. I took water color classes a few years ago but my teacher wasn’t good she would fix and not teach me how to fix my boo boo’s.

  2. Watched it all the way through – watch almost all of your tutorials. Love your attitude. Makes me want to paint my own things instead of stamping them all. Thank you so much for sharing.

  6. Thanks Lindsey – I watched the whole video. I’ve never done watercolor, but you give me the courage to try it out. Might make an egg card this afternoon! Hope you continue to make these videos – inspiration for us all!
BTW – your envelope holder made me think of a Dalek!

  7. You make it look so easy! I’d really like to believe i could do this. I can do some stuff w/ acrylic paints but I think water color is harder because it doesn’t have defined lines. I have all the stuff on hand to try it…maybe I’ll get brave and ” give it a whirl”–to quote Kevin from Home Alone..

  8. I like what you said about sharing and not hoarding your knowledge. I’ve always believed that what goes around comes around and that often I learn as much from my students questions and they hopefully learn from me. I tell people “you don’t make mistakes, you just invent new techniques”.

  10. I watched it all the way through too. No way would I not! Who knows what I could miss! I bought some of your water colour lessons but haven’t tried them yet. This was a good beginner class and yes, to moe of them. You make it look easy enough to make us want to try it.

  11. I enjoyed watching you paint. I would love to be able to do that. When I watch I think I can do it too, but then when I actually try to — well, that’s why I am a stamper. I am hoping that I can get it by osmosis. Do you think that would work? LOL I would love to see more of your painting videos. You are such an upbeat happy person.
    thanks

  12. I love watching you paint. You make it look so easy! Unfortunately, I’m not too talented when it comes to artistic endeavors. But thanks to you, I am at least willing to try now.

Thanks for all you share with us. Oh, by the way, I did watch every last second of the tutorial.
