Inspired by a soda can and WOYWW!

I was grocery shopping yesterday and my son asked if he could get some iced tea, well I looked at the display and saw the most gorgeous box of Arizona green tea with ginseng (and it was diet!) so I said sure but I get to keep the cans! I made a card with the chipboard from the box:

And I have something else intended for the cans, I’ll share that project with you tomorrow but you can have a sneak peek since it is What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday and I happen to have a can in the works:

BTW the stamps on the card are from About Art Accents! Thanks for stopping by and till next time (when I reveal the finished soda can creation!) happy crafting!

  1. Gorgeous card. Can I ask….what are the wooden things used for that are on your desk? Never seen anything like them. Can’t wait to see what you do with the cans. HUGS!

  2. I can hardly wait to see what you’re creating with your soda cans. BTW I saw your article in the stamping magazine on your craft space. Thanks for sharing all those ideas for storing your stuff!

  3. Lol! As a new subscriber to your blog (for which I am most grateful), I have to tell you that I just realized that WOYWW was an acronym for ‘What’s on your workdesk Wednesday’. For the last couple of weeks, I thought it was a dyslexic wow-wee of excitement cuz I get excited every time I see a new entry from you.

Thanks for the laugh – at myself…and the beautiful card inspiration! Looking forward to the next entry – WowWEE!

  4. Don’t you love those Arizona tea cans! I’m going to use them for wings on some recycled angels that I’m making (right now the concept in only in my head…..)

    Happy WOYWW

  5. Oh my gosh! Cans! I know someone who embosses on cans (embossing folders) but now I’ll have to tell her that she should buy fancy drinks and cut them up too. Very awesome card and love the source of inspiration (I mean the idea, not the tea-I never tried it).

    1. What kind of machine does she use to emboss the cans with? I have a cuttlebug, would that work do you know? Would love to try it but don’t want to ruin the machine or embossing folder if not. Thank you.

      1. I’ve use the fiskars texture plates in my big shot. Use a plate instead of a cutting pad, place the can on top, then a sheet of rubber then the cutting pad. You also need the spaceer. I works great!
