Hi friends! I think the most requested tutorial from the paintings I shared from vacation (next to the birch tree) was the fall leaf so today I’ll show you how to paint it!
Watch the tutorial and follow along with whatever supplies you have. I will post a supply list below as well.
Video!
Supplies (links to Hallmark Scrapbook and Simon Says Stamp)
- Watercolor Paint (any watercolor is fine!) I used Cotman but the Prima sets are really nice and quite a bit cheaper, You can use either the Classics or Tropical sets to mix up the colors you need for this.
- Spectrum Aqua Watercolor Pencils Hallmark Scrapbook has them for $19.99 (regular $39.99) Simon Says Stamp also has them but they are not on sale
- Watercolor greeting cards or Watercolor paper
- Watercolor brushes (small #2-#2 round and a #4-#6 round)
- White Gel Pen (HS) or SSS
*If the above products are out of stock You can find a great selection of more watercolor supplies at Simon Says Stamp. I find Simon Says Stamp has the BEST selection BUT Hallmark Scrapbook has better prices but they sell out fast! They are both wonderful & amazing companies though:)
* The above links are affiliate links, by clicking my link and purchasing anything on the site I receive a small portion of the sale (it doesn’t cost you extra) and it helps me keep these tutorials free. Love this video and how you used white gel pen and watecolor pencils along with pan paints. Struggling to paint with watercolores alone discouraged me. I think I can do this!
BTW, I’m delighted to see that you’re teaching in LifeBook 2017! Hope to join you there.
