Easy Marker Blending!

Happy Saturday folks! Today I am having my first ever yard sale and I am sneaking away from pricing stuff to have a cup of coffee and do a quick blog post. I hope I don’t get any “early birds” because I don’t get going until at leat 9am 😉 Also I have to give a big thanks to my friends Glenna and Steve who helped us set up last night, I can’t believe how much one can accumulate!

OK, now on with the crafting!  Today I am going to show you my process for blending with ProMarkers (I used the classic set of 12) but this will work with all of your alcohol ink markers:

First I add my darkest shadows, then I color over them with my medium value blending the color out, and then I color over the entire thing with my lightest color. Yep, that’s it, how easy is that!

OK back to work! wish me luck on my first yard sale and til next time happy crafting!

    1. in the USA I thin carpediemstore.com has the best price but they only ship to US. Other than that the letraset website often runs specails (check their facebook page on friday for deals) and they ship worldwide very reasonably;)

  2. Thank you for the great tips on coloring with alcohol markers. I have been doing it the opposite way; starting with light colors, but I can’t wait to try it your way! Also, I hope you have a great yard sale!!! Thanks again!

    1. wow, Joann’s has them now? Thanks for the heads up! I like Neenah Classic Crest in solar white as my favorite paper because it is so easy to blend BUT it can be hard to come by, you can also try Staples smooth cardstock in white or cream of Georgia Pacific. When I first really got interested in marker paper I went to my local print shop and bought a few sheets of all the smooth white cardstock they had and it was very inexpensive, when you find one you like you can go back and by more! I would avoid the paper company cardstock sold at Joann/acmoore as it is too pourus and bleeds too much.
