Happy sunday folks. Today in most of the US we set our clocks ahead (an extra hour of daylight yea!) and when that happens Spring is sure to come soon! I am very excited because tomorrow I get to pick a winner for a brand new set of ProMarkers so if you have not entered for this awesome prize may sure you do today on the give-away post. Here is a card I made using Promarkers, wheel stamps, chalks, rainbow ink and the freebie digistamp from Thursday’s post, video to follow.
Here is a video showing you how to make this…sorry it is so long, I knew it was a mistake when YouTube gave me permission to post videos longer than 10 minutes because I can talk all day!
Ane here is a close up of the card, yes, I know it is loud and bright but aren’t we all sometimes?
Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
Great video and technique. Love the idea of “stealing” a a few Lego’s from my grandson stash for my craft room. Not like he’ll miss them…he has a Lego bin of 1,000 assorted sizes. so what’s a dozen. lol

Loved the video, and the idea of using chalk instead of cutting a mask. I will definitely be stealing some lego’s too. Beautiful card.

Your video is wonderful, thanks for the tips. I have a Stamp-a-ma-jig and always forget to use it, duh! I have a couple of questions – on your finished card it looks like the chalks are not on the paper where there is no embossing powder. How do you get them off of the paper so they just show on the design? I haven’t used chalks much and when I have, I have made a mess. And what punch did you use to thread the ribbon on your card?

Hi Jackie, I did not use embossing powder, just the clear embossing ink, it is clear and a wee bit sticky and stays wet long enough to grab the chalk-a little bit if chalw will do! Just stamp an image with clear embossing ink and use a pom-pom ot Q-tip to rub the chalk over your design, the chalk will only stick to the clear ink. Any clear embossing ink will work for this. Try it on a scrap and see how easy it is!
The punch is by McGill I think, I’ve had it for ages, it is simply called a ribbon slot punch, it is a handheld squeeze punch (looks like a normal hole punch but it has a purple handle) it punched 1 set of 2 slots at a time so I use a ruler to mark the back of my paper before punching so I can line it up. I punched the hole 1/2″ apart:)

Your card is beautiful, Lindsay!!! Not too bright for my taste. I love it.
Thanks for a terrific video. I learned several very useful
things from you today. I really enjoy your videos. I so appreciate that you don’t use only the very latest tools and products that have just been put out. You often teach me new things about stuff I already have and I love that!!! Big hugs!!!! xxxx

Ha ha – I thought I invented using Legos to make a stamp guide!!!! I guess we’re all using our noodles to save money. :0) Mine has a horse lego in the corner that serves as a “handle.” It works great. I’ve been thinking of using Legos to make a wheel guide too.
Thanks for the tutorials. I especially loved the button one from the other day.
