Hi friends! Today I am going to show you how to make a snowman kit-no snow required!

This travel felt board activity is fun for kids to make, give and play with. It might just save your sanity during along car ride to Grandmas this Thanksgiving! Also it is a stash buster project, you can use up all of those felt scraps you have been saving!

Video!

Supplies:
Clear pail
Felt (one 9″x12″ sheet of blue and scraps)
Metallic pipe cleaners
Hook and loop tape-hook side (for buttons or non-felt items)
Cardstock
Buttons
Button jars
Tools: scissors, wire cutters, circle punch
glue

Directions:
1. Cut out snowman, hats, scarves and other accessories from felt scraps. Arrange on a sheet of blue felt.
2. Glue small pieces of hook side of Velcro to backs of buttons and other non felt items. Cut pipe cleaners for hands.
3. Place items in pail and decorate lid!

I hope you give this project a try with your kids and til next time happy crafting!

  1. Lindsay I have a big question. My bathroom mirrors have a mirrored frame around them and I want to put some kind of finish on them because they are starting to have spots where the mirror part is coming off. I thought about decoupage but I can’t figure out what to do. Do you have any ideas? I sure would appreciate some help. Thanks Patricia

    1. My first thought is an enamel paint like Folk art enamels or Martha Stewart Multi Surface paint. Wipe the mirror with alcohol and paint away! I really like the folk art enamels, I have only used a couple MS colors but they are made by the same company so they are probably the same stuff. They cure is 21 days and are extremely durable.
