Hi friends! I have a fun idea for you tonight, DIY wrapping paper using paint and stencils!
I must confess, ever since I got a big roll of kraft paper from Papermart I have been making all of my own gift wrap! You can use it as-is or try stenciling it like I did tonight! Papermart also carries the kraft paper in white if you want a brighter look too. I think I need a big roll or white paper after now knowing how much I use the brown stuff. Watch the video to see how I make this paper and matching gift tag:
Supplies:
60# Kraft paper
Large Shipping Tag
Rainbow Ribbon
Paper ribbon
Stencil
Acrylic Paint
Gesso (or white acrylic paint)
Stencil brushes and make-up sponges
Directions:
1. Stencil design on kraft paper using acrylic paint.
2. Stamp tag using leftover paint and make up sponges. Wash stamps immediately after use.
3. Wrap gift. Add ribbon and tag.
Try this idea using any stencil for different looks, you can make any theme paper just by changing the colors and stencil patterns. Thanks so much for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

The best part is the kraft paper is recyclable. Most gift wrap paper is not.
