  3. Thanks again Lindsay and ladies for sharing your knowledge…always interesting and fun to watch the videos!!!
Kathy – I have had both types of washers and prefer the front loader …uses less water and less soap, and since my Studio is the laundry room, I can use the top of the washer and dryer for my die cutting machines, etc. – LOL!. Mine is a Maytag – the only problem I have had over the 15 years we have had it is the rubber ring tends to stain…so I leave the door open after washing to air it – was told to use powder soap rather than liquid soap to help avoid this.

  5. Before I got an embossing machine, I wet my paper and put it between an embossing folder and then took a rolling pin and rolled and pressed hard over that and got a fairly good embossed look. Of course, you have to wait for it to dry. If you want an inked background from an embossing folder, you simply add some ink from a pad onto the raised surface of the folder and again use the rolling pin. But I eventually bought a Big Kick and that is what I used now.

Ok! First sewing project!!!….trace a hanger shape onto a piece of paper…..Make a garment cover!……don’t forget to .make the cover large enough to fit your garment inside!!! ( can be long or just shoulder size!). This teaches seam making, pattern making!, hemming, sewing and clipping curves, even embelishments can be added if you like!

  7. Check at Sears. Their washers and dryers used to be Maytag motors. They might still be. Worth checking out, as they last and last.

This is Lela from Toronto. I got hooked on your paper beads , hooooooooked!!!!! I have a disability and it helps me to overcome some short comings, and I thank you for that.

I have a question i hope you can help me with. I would like to sell some of the beads, or necklaces , or bracelets made from them. I checked out Etsy, and they do not to be very popular for sale. The craft sales are quite impossible because of wheelchair .

Any other ideas? Maybe even other item? Please Help!!!!

Thanking you and all your friends in advance,

  10. Congrats Lindsay you are wonderful. Kathy, had a front loader, was a GE danced all over the floor. we balanced it got it level and still did. Would not have another one. Now I have one without an agitator does good if you don’t have dirty work clothes, If I ever get another one I think I would go with the agitator. And Denna in the fifth grade I made a drawstring apron ( still have it)put up because that has been 47 years since I was in the fifth grade, Made it for 4-H.It is just a rectangle hemmed on the bottom casing on top and the sides finished and a finished strip for the drawstring. Oh my that is how long I have been sewing. Well everyone have a good night. Patricia

  11. Great News. TV Wow. Be sure and let all of us know when it will air. Then we can call and email the station to let them know how great you were and that we want more more more.
Kathy. I have a Top loading NO Agitator. Love the amount of room you have for clothes but not sure if it gets them really clean. They don’t seem to move around much. Now if it was a front loading I would believe that would work much better. A lot of my friends have front loaders and they all like them.
You girls are terrific!! Learn something new every week.

  12. Congratulations on the TV Craft segment. Selfishly, I hope you’ll still have time for all you do for us, also!
For the past few weeks, I am having a major problem hearing you, especially on the Ask a Crafter segment. I would think I was going deaf or my computer sound was failing except that I am able to hear your older ones fine. Could you please turn up your volume?
    Thanks,

  18. Kathy, have recently purchased a LG top loader and love it. I had a front loader for over 10 years and would never get another. The rubber gasket gets stinky!

Congratulations! I am sure that your “show” will become very popular because are, as others have said, a talented artist/crafter, a great teacher and always bring a smile with that infectious laugh of yours!. Will we be able to access the shows if we are not in your viewing area? We do not have cable, so are limited in what we can watch. Please let us know.
Thank you for the joy you bring to the world! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

  20. Hi Lindsy! Congrats on your new adventure! I just want to put in my two cents worth on Kathy’s question about washers. About four years ago my husband and I bought a “Bosh” no dasher type machine with a glass lid. I HATE it!!! It doesn’t have a water level button at all! It goes by sensers that determine the water fill level by the size of the load. It stinks! I have actually washed a load of clothes and when I took them out, they had large dry patches where they were never touched by the water! Now, I carry three buckets of water from my kitchen to add to the washer every time I wash, just to have enough water in my machine to get the clothes clean! And also, it seems to me that by not having a dasher, my clothes fray and tear a lot faster than when I had a machine with a dasher. My next machine will have one. And I wish this one would hurry up and break so I would have an excuse to go buy a new one! I hate the one I have now! Hope this helps Kathy. I love you guys! Keep the answers coming! Lol
