Halloween and Flamingos

Wow, is it Thursday already? This week was blur, starting with my son’s birthday (where I forgot my camera), my daughters Daisy Scout Halloween party (where I also forgot my camera) to my kids karate class where I remembered my camera (but left my memory card back home in the computer) and yesterday in a mad dash to help my daughter with her research paper and I misplaced her bright orange folder with ALL of the assignment details in it! More about the flamingos later….

But luckily I had my moment (albeit brief) of zen in my craft room where I made this quick card with Vintage Halloween labels digistamps from Lindsay’s stamp stuff:

Now, every now and then I like a shortcut, I keep a stash of 5″x7″ cards and envelopes in white and cream on hand all the time. You can buy them in packs of 50 for $5 (on sale) at AC Moore or JoAnns around the holidays. To give my store-bought envelope a homemade touch I stamped a flourish in the corner and cut a piece of houndstooth paper use as an envelope liner. I used the black and white houndstooth paper from the Uptown Houndstooth paper pack.

And now for the freebie, I made this SVG cutting file for my daughters flamingo report (I cut the birds and the word flamingo, handed her markers, glue and poster board and hoped for the best:) and I thought that maybe you might like the file too especially with it being breast cancer awareness month and we are all loving the pink!
