This week we have our final hidden freebie for you, better catch it before it flutters into the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop:
I made this set using the Sketchy Cosmos and Filled Butterfly Stamp as well as the Swallowtail Butterfly freebie that you will find on one of my Design team Members blogs. Here is a closer look:
I discovered a new technique using alcohol inks this week. I squirted some out in a plastic palette and let them dry. I filled a empty water-brush with goo gone and used it to paint with the dried up alcohol inks to get a watercolor look on my project without smearing my water based printer ink! Pretty cool huh? Practice a bit first before trying it on your project to get a feel fo it, this will bleed through the paper so you may want an old magazine under where you work. Here is a pic of my setup:
We have a new guest designer this month, her name is Ellen Smith but you can call her “Tink” you can see what she did with my stamps here.
And now for the fabulous Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Design Team:
Go find your freebie and besure to leave some love on the designers blogs;) Till next time happy crafting!
WOW! This card is awesome. Great job, Lindsay! ~Olena~

WOW! My jaw is on the floor for your newly discovered ‘watercolor’ technique! Most of the methods I’ve seen to treat digi stamps printed out take away the option to watercolor and here, you’ve provided an awesome one!! Thanks!
Love your projects with your flutters flitting by! Really love the staging as well. Creativity seems to just ooze from you and we all are lucky to be beneficiaries of it!! Thanks! :>

Wow! Awesome projects Lindsay – it’s great how you combined these 3 great stamps to make one awesome card.
As for the alcohol inks technique. Brilliant. I don’t like the inks for their “normal” usage – but this is a very neat technique.

Hi Shannon,
I can’t remember exactly where I got mine but here is one just like it: http://www.cheapjoes.com/art-supply/Q220_4647_masters-folding-palette-wells.asp I order from the regularily and they are goo, plus you gotta love the name “cheap joes” right up my ally. You can probably find them at ac moore in the painting section too, they should be well under $10, i think I paid about $5. In a pinch use an ice cube tray from the dollar store, just get a white one so you can see what color you have!
