Back to School Minibook (with free template!)

As promised I made a mini-book with the template I designed for you yesterday:

Stamps: Pink Persimmon, PSX, Paper: DCWV, Autumn Leaves, Other: Cricut+SCAL software, Crop-a-Dial, binding combs, DYMO label maker

I just cut the bracket edge card ( you can download a printable version or SVG versions to cut with your cricut from yesterday’s post) with my cricut and scal software and cut each layer a bit shorter than the last. I used my deep cut blade set at depth 6, pressure max to cut the shapes first out of chipboard (I saved it from the back of a paper pack but you can use a cereal box since you will be covering it with pattern paper), then used my standard blade to cut the same shapes again from pattern paper. To cover the backs of the pages I put my paper print side down on my cricut mat and cut it again, Best of all you can make this on the small cricut machine because the largest page is 6″x12″!

The kid stamps are from the little red wagon set from Pink Persimmon, I love this set because they look a lot like my my kids, I stamped the girl twice because I have twins and I will have photos my 3 children on their first day of school. The letter stamps are moldy oldies from PSX (my very first stamps actually!) but I love them and they are classic so they never go out of style!

To bind my book I used my crop-a-dial and a cheap comb binding from staples, you get 25 11″ long bindings for under $5 and you can cut them whatever length you want. You could embellish the book however you like but I’m keeping mine flat so I can slip it into a page protector in my family album, I find odd sized mini-albums hard to store otherwise and this way it won’t get lost.
