Get Ready for Wrapping With DIY Tags, Tape & Labels!

Howdy friends! Today we are going to make some fun wrapping supplies in bulk. I like to keep these in a box on my pool table with wrapping paper, scissors and ribbon so anyone in my family can wrap a present quickly!

I had an empty tissue box handy so I cut a diagonally on each edge and pushed the top into the box to make a holder for everything. I reinforced it with duct tape from the dollar tree and you can easily see everything in there. Try not to be jealous of my fanciness LOL!

You can easily make a seasons worth of tags in  an afternoon and it make a nice way to relax during a hectic week! Learn these easy and fun techniques in today’s video!

Gift Bag Cuties! {video tutorial}

As I have mentioned a zillion times before I am getting ready for a craft fair on Saturday. I wanted a way to package some surprise grab bags of jewelry and I came up with this using the coffee bags from Papermart:

DCF 1.0

You can do this with plain brown and white lunch sacks too but the coffee bags are thicker and more durable. It would also be an inexpensive way to package a gift!

Check out the video to see how I made them. These are easy enough to make with the kids!

I was pretty mellow in the video huh? I think it is because I am exhausted trying to get ready for this dang craft fair, I think I will sleep until noon on Sunday LOL! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Let me be the first to wish you a happy Valentine’s Day! I love Valentine’s day, I always have, I mean what’s not to love? Also since it is February 14th that means that this (the shortest month of the year but in the North it feels like the longest!) is half over and I don’t know about you but I am ready for March to roar in and bring with it some spring! This has been the snowiest winter I can remember-and living in Maine that says something! Anyway, back to Valentine’s Day, here are some gifties for my peeps:

I wrapped the presents in this beautiful birdcage paper (dollar spot at target, it will be cheap tomorrow LOL!) and made some quick tags using my Cricut & SCAL software and the SVG files in the A Little Lovin set from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff….

Did I mention that EVERYTHING in my shop is 40% off today only!?! What are you waiting for? SHOP 🙂

I hope you have a wonderful day with your loved ones, I can’t wait to see all of the lovely Valentines my kids will bring home from school today and I hope they enjoy the gifts from me…

Caardvarks Holiday Hop: Pretty Packaging!

Welcome to day two of the fabulous Caardvarks Holiday blog hop. The theme is pretty packaging and it is sponsored by Creative Cuts and More, a leader in die cuts. If you came here from Lila’s blog you are in the right place but if you landed here first be sure to start at the Caardvarks blog so you don’t miss out on an exclusive CC&M coupon and your chance to win some great die cuts, this is a 3-day hop with a prize each day and lots of holiday inspiration.  Without further ado here are my quick and easy holiday wraps:

Die cuts: Creative Cuts and More, Stamps: see credits below

I used the mug card, crayon box and short puff box for these and there are so many uses for them. they will each hold a gift card beautifully but Imagine the acetate puff box filled with chocolate covered cranberries, the mug filled with hot cocoa packets and candy canes and the crayon box filled with a mini note pad and crayons to entertain the youngins’ during a trip to grandmas! Another thing I love is how these sturdy boxes can be reused. Fill them with sweet treats for a friend then they can eat the sweets and tuck a gift card in and pass it on…I’m dreaming of a green Christmas 😉

Cocoa Packet Holder: Stamps: Stampin Up (stamp wheels), Inque Boutique/Darice: Label

For the cocoa packet holder I assembled the card with tape then used a stamp wheel to “pattern” my card base. I used chalk to color the images then I stamped the label on cream and adhered it over a ribbon with foam tape and stuck in a decorative spray.

Crayon box: Stamps: The Rubber Cafe, Inque Boutique/Darice

For the crayon box I stamped a flourish and heat embossed it in white, tied on a ribbon and added the label, quick and easy!

Short puff box: CC&M

This was the easiest of all, assemble the box with double stick tape, wrap with a strip of paper and tie on a bow and glue on some dew drops!

Next stop on the hop is the wonderful Pam Smerker, be sure to check out her lovely work. Tomorrow is the final day of the holiday Blog hop and I do hop you will join us again, til then happy crafting!
