Toothless!

My Daughter Maizy has had a loose tooth for weeks, it is just about ready to let go, she lost her first tooth a couple of weeks ago and her new teeth are ready to come in. So when I hear my son yell “Look, your tooth came out!” I ran to Maizy to see her missing tooth…Well, it wasn’t Maizy, it was her twin sister Lila’s tooth that popped out, it was barely loose and she didn’t even notice it come out, we thought we had lost it but after much searching it was on her shirt the whole time:)

Digital Paper: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Punch: EK Success, Black paper: DCWV, Stamp: Fiskars, Font: LD Buttercream

I snapped this picture right after she lost the tooth, I only took one because this was so perfect. I used new paper from my Uptown houndstooth paper pack (on sale for $2.50) and paper from DCWV, I added some crotched flowers and I cut the title with my Cricut using SCAL software and the font LD buttercream. I think it is Fabulous!

*NEW! I just got a coupon code for 10% off SCAL software: 4190114 offer good through 2/28/10!

Maizy still has not lost her tooth. Until next time happy crafting!

A SCAL coupon and Freebie!

I’m feeling badly about neglecting my Cricut and SCAL friends this week. If you don’t know what SCAL is I’ll explain, it is software that lets you cut the fonts on your computer as well as SVG files with your cricut machine. Here is a coupon to save 10% on SCAL: 4113027 hurry it is only valid til Monday the 2nd!

I made this fun layered flower SVG last night and thought I’d share. I cut the svg pattern from several different sheets of K&Co pattern paper then traced the flowers on a padded mailer (I save them whenever I  get something shipped to me) and cut out the padded shapes 1/4″ smaller all around then I layered them and sewed them together with my sewing machine. The layers of bubble wrap stitched inside give it a quilted look.  Then I used embroidery floss to stitch a button for the center to anchor it. wouldnt these be darling in Christmas colors for tree ornaments or hung in a girls bedroom or as a whimsical tag on a gift? Here I used the pattern on a scrapbook page.

Digital stamp: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, Green watercolor paper (LSS freebie yesterday) Pattern paper: K&co, Cardstock: SU!

The green watercolor paper was from yesterdays freebie, I adjusted the color so I would have green paper and the sentiment is from the Doodle Flowers Digital stamp Set, I adjusted the color to white and layered it over the paper before printing. Be sure to use the png file for the sentiment so you will have a transparent background. I also made a couple more cards with the Doodle Flowers stamp set:
