For the Z card cut and fold a card as normal and then score between the center fold and edge of the card and fold it back. Then cut a 1.5″ strip the length of the open card and score at the same interval but adhere it so the folds are opposite as shown in the video. Embellish as desired.

For the easel card you will again score and fold between the center score and front edge. Decorate as desired.

For the twisted easel score and fold diagonally from the edge of the card at the crease to the opposite front corner. Decorate as desired.

Try these fun folds on your next card! Til next time happy crafting!

A Gift Fit For a Time Lord!

Howdy folks! I am still enjoying a fun-filled school vacation but I wanted to share something I made last week for a friend whose birthday was yesterday:

DCF 1.0

She is a big Doctor Who fan and I have her to thank for my current Doctor Who obsession. I’ll never forget last summer when she said “Hey Lindsay, have you ever watched the show Doctor Who?” Famous. Last. Words.

Sometimes I wonder if my handmade jewelry is a bit too gaudy for anyone to wear, we all receive the well intended gifts from relatives (too-big novelty Christmas sweater or plastic canvas tissue box cozy) so I figured if my necklace is to big and clunky to wear she can hang it out by her garden to scare away any crows (or the odd Dalek) that might come by! 🙂

in case you are wondering where I found that rad Dalek rubber stamp, I made it with my Stampmaker! That’s all for today! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Stamper’s Mixed Bag {of tricks!}

Happy Monday everyone! I have some awesome news to share, I am on the design team for Lost Coast Designs. I totally fell in love with their stamps at the stamp show last month and I jumped at the chance to design samples for them. Here are 2 cards made with their dressform and rulers background stamps:

I used many techniques on these cards, some are refresher and some might be new to you. You can watch me make the card from start to finish in this video:

Here are some close up shots of the cards:

Well, I’m off to the beach, looks like another hot day (I’ll take it!) so stay cool and til next time happy crafting!
