Actually I colored the card with just my Bic Markits because my Prismacolors were not here yet, not bad for inexpensive markers!
I have a new kit in the shop this week, it is a layered digital stamp in png and jpg format and a box template on sale for $1.99:
Now lets see what the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff DT has been up to this week! That will kick-start my crafty mojo! With a new month we have a new Guest DT Rebekah Doak, she has not one but two lovely LSS projects on her blog so be sure to scroll down, I am looking forward to a month of inspiring projects from her!
Isn’t it funny when you need to get something done for a deadline you struggle but when you have a free day you can knock out 6 cards in an hour? That is how it is for me anyway 🙂 I never seem to have enough birthday cards so I decided to make a set of 8 using my new Recipe card and Folio SVG cutting file with my All Around Phrases, Sweet Stuff and Love Grows here digital stamp sets:
Stamps, Template: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff
All of my stamp sets work well with each other, I think the most versatile is the All Around Phrases digital stamp set because you can pop any other digi stamp (use the png version) in the center and you have an easy to trim element, plus anything in a circle is just cuter 🙂 This card features this weeks sketch from 2s4u, when you need a quick card nothing is easier than using a sketch:
How about a freebie? I am trying to better organize my scrap space so I have another ribbon organizer for you. Last weekend I gave you the ribbon bobbins, here is a ribbon/fiber card to cut with your Cricut and Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL) software. If you have a cricut you should have SCAL, it has been around for almost 2 years and has great customer support AND I have a coupon code to save 10% on SCAL: 9388463 it is good til the 18th. If you have SCAL 2 and havent updated recently the new update (SCAL 2.006) is great, you can break apart a design to arrange it on you mat, auto fill, and convert simple clip art into cutting files FUN! The update is free if you have scal 2:)
Here are the fiber cards loaded up with ribbons and fibers, pretty!
Download a version that will cut with Design Studio if you have the George Cartridge here. This makes the larger card.
Here is a look at how I cut the cards in SCAL. SCAL lets me re-size the cards however I like for large or small ribbons. I think if I cut more big ones I'll use chipboard for strength.
Now lets see what the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Senior DT has been up to this week, the have a new Guest Designer this month too, take a look:
Reserve a day for creative play in your craft space, who knows you might end up making 8 cards in an hour! All of the stamps and templates used in today’s project can be found in the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff shop, Remember for ever $5 you spend there you get a free single stamp OR at my shop at MyGrafico where you get your stamps INSTANTLY (but no free stamp, sorry.) Another reminder today is the last day to enter the recycling challenge, make a card using ANY digistamp and something recycled, leave me a link to it and I will toss you name in a hat for a chance to win a free set!
Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
Now I'll have a birthday card ready whenever I need one!
How many of you vowed to be more organized this year? I love to organize…well in my craft room anyway LOL! If you have spools of ribbon and fibers taking over your craft area try this:
a quick and easy way to organize those ribbons!
I made these little bobbin cards with my cricut & SCAL software. I cut 10 fro a 12×12 sheet of cardstock to make my ribbon bobbins then wrapped them with ribbon and secured them with straight pins. It took minutes to cut and fill these and they are so cute!
I also made this cute mailbox with my Cricut and SCAL software, it is fun and cute, I think I will make one for every season!
This template is only $3 in printable/SVG/PNG format!
You can purchase this 3-D Mailbox template in SVG format to cut with your Cricut and SCAL software, a printable version (Just print the template and trace it on your cardstock) and a png clipping file if you want to use it with your digital papers! You get all of the formats for only $3 at the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop at MyGrafico!
Think of all the ways you could decorate this! Make the base from cardstock then add your favorite papers!
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by, til next time Happy Crafting!
If you are a parent of a 5 year old girl you know all about Fancy Nancy. My friend Kathy and I (she also had 5 year old twin girls) decided to take our kids out Christmas shopping and to dinner the other night. We ate at Denny’s (does it get any fancier?) and when we asked one of Kathy’s daughters if she wanted breakfast or dinner she said “I’ll have Brunch, it’s Fancier!” And so was born the inspiration of todays project using the Winter Printables kit and the template from the 3-D advent calendar from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff:
Stamps, papers, templates: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff
I used the Cricut and SCAL software to cut my paper boxes form inexpensive white cardstock (GP from Sams club, 250 sheets for $7) then I trimmed the pattern paper from the kit with deco edge scissors to decorate the boxes. To make a two layer cake I just made 6 small boxes (use the template that comes in the kit with 2 boxes on one sheet) and 6 large boxes (use the template that has the instructions typed on it, you can crop the template before printing it so it will fill a whole sheet of cardstock and make a bigger box), I simply arranged them in a hexagon and stacked them. Easy Peasy!
This cake is made from favor boxes from the 3-D advent calendar, the papers and cupcake wrappers are from the Winter Printables kit all available in the Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Shop!
The cupcake wrappers come in the Winter Printables kit and they are so simple, just print, trim and tape and you have the cutest cupcakes on the block!
The green paper is from the Winter Printables kit, the stamp and template are included in today's freebie!
For the invitation I cut the base out of pink cardstock and traced the front on to my green pattern paper from the Winter Printables kit, trimmed and glued to the front of the card. I used the free digital stamp from todays freebie kit to make the tea-bag tag. I changed the color to white and used my paint bucket tool to fill in the background with red before printing and trimming. I wanted the tag to look like a Salada tea tag because when I was 5 (til I graduated high school) I had tea (OK more like milk, sugar and a little tea) with Mom every morning and that was what we drank. now that I’m a mom I have my tea in the afternoon when my kids come home and If they want some I let them (but I made it a decaf) and it is nice 😉 And I still drink Salada.
Now let’s see what the talented LSS Senior Design Team has been working on this week. We also have a new guest Designer too this month, please welcome Micki Harper to the team!
This cocoa packet is one of my favorites, I designed the template last Christmas time and it was perfect for giving Starbucks gift cards;) It works well for a cocoa packet too, an inexpensive gift for a teacher or bus driver. Get the templates here:
On this card I used the free gingerbread clip art (see freebie pack below) and the scalloped rectangle from the embossed mats set (I adjusted the color to green) and typed “Happy Holidays” over it and printed it out as one image on a piece of cardstock that was my card base. I punched 2 holes and threaded a shot piece of ribbon through and viola: a card in 3 minutes!
Stamps/elements: Lindsay's stamp Stuff
I just did this card this morning, I printed one of the card base sheets from the new Winter Printables kit and cut it in half (you get two cards for one sheet) and folded it. I used the Gingerbread svg file from the freebie pack (I cut it with my cricut and scal software) and glued that on my card over one of the tags from the 3-D Advent Calendar set, then I cut a slit on the fold of my card for my ribbon and added that and finally I added the happy holidays tag also from the Winter Printables set. I added a punched tab at the top and over it an element from the Christmas Cupcakes set. As you can see all of the stamp set from Lindsay’s stamp stuff coordinate beautifully together 😉
Yep it’s Thursday as you could probably guess from the title! I had an idea rattling around in my head for a while of making printable paper mats that had embossed edges. You can use the png version of any digital stamp to add them to the mat before you print it too! I made them in white but you can recolor them digitally or print them on colored paper. They are good for digital scrappers to as the png versions can be plopped on a page and used for journaling! Here is a card I made with the new Embossed Mats set and the Babies and Bows and All Around Phrases digital stamp sets:
Stamps: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff (all Around Phrases, Babies and Bows and Embossed Mats sets)
To print the Congratulations stamp on the card base I first printed it on plain paper then taped my card down to the paper where I wanted it printed and sent both through the printer again!
I like the look of the embossed shadow 😉
The cradle was colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with goo-gone;) The "pearls" are drops of hot glue dusted with pearl-ex.
Here is the set for $3 in the shop:
I also wanted to make something Christmas-y and giftie so I came up with the cookie tower, it uses a 12″x12″ sheet of paper. I use American Crafts new pattern paper, not cardstock, and it was still very sturdy!
The template for the box does not include the window cutout. You can use whatever cartridge/file/template you wish for that 😉
Now let’s see what the rest of the Design Team has been up to, Just a reminder I am taking applications for new designers until the 7th (details here) …speaking of new designers Erin Baily is joining us full time, yay Erin!
love this time of year! It is so easy to come up with fun ideas to craft with the kids. My copy of Scrapbooks Etc. came in the mail yesterday and my 7 year old was peeking at the cover and saw a cute bat Halloween treat box and asked if we could make one. I said “sure” and remembered that I had made a fry box file to cut with my cricut that would work like a charm to make these:
Fry box Favors! Download the templates below 😉
Aren’t they fun? I have an svg file so you can cut the fry box, pumpking mouth and bat wings with your Cricut using scal software. You can do the other shapes with scal too, just look under the shapes menu and if you don’t have a cricut I have a printable template for you. You can also use punches to decorate! I used double stick tape for the sided of the box and handle but the rest can be adhered with a glue stick.
When doing this project with your kids be sure to cut out all of the pieces before hand and have a pair of scissors, glue stick, googlie eyes and markers for each person.
Happy Tuesday Y’all! I spent a lovely morning out shopping and lunching with friends, it’s a beautiful warm fall day and I have some freebies to share. Does it get any better? Here is a set of thank you notes I made to send out to my daughters’ friends to thank them for their lovely birthday presents.
Stamps: Stampin Up, Templates: Lindsay Weirich (See downloads below)
You can make nine note cards form 3 sheets of 12×12 paper. Pick 3 colors that go well together so you can mix and match the layers, I used pastel shades of pink and mint and white. Below you can download the SVG files to cut with your cricut if you have scal software.
Download the Bracket shape SVG here. Use it in blackout mode at 3″ for the layer, weld two together at 3.5″ still in blackout mode for the note card.
Happy Sunday folks! It is suddenly starting to feel like fall around here, it makes me want to curl up beside the fire with a good book and a glass of Pinot Noir, speaking of wine, have you seen the “Bon Appetit” stamp set from The Rubber Cafe? It is fabulous, here is a couple of cards I whipped up last night with it:
I used my Cricut and SCAL software to make the cards, you can grab my free template and cutting flies below. The purple bottle is cut from Co’ordanations cardstock with the lighter side on the inside so your writing will show up 😉 The green bottle is textured cardstock from Die Cuts With a View. I used the Fleuradidy 2 stamp and clear ink to stamp directly on the textured cardstock (these stamps are so deeply etched and wonderful that they even stamp well on textured cardstock!) then I heat embossed it with gold powder. I smooshed the clear pad on the bottle top and embossed it to look like the foil seal that champagne bottles have, easy, quick, clever! On the inside I did tone on tone stamping with the pretty leaf stamp, it just gives you a little extra flair i think 😉
here is the inside of the card
To stamp the wine label I inked up the stamp in caramel then used tombow (use any water based marker for this, tombow happens to be my favorite) brush markers to add green, red and purple to the grapes, breath on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp on cream cardstock, cut out and adhere to card.
Using markers to add multi colors to a rubber stamp is quick, easy and fun!
Don’t forget you have 2 days left to save 10% on SCAL software with the coupon code: 1847253 You will get the latest version of scal (SCAL v.2) with all the new bells and whistles such as converting images to cut and layers, it is so cool!
Have a great Sunday folks and till next time happy crafting!
