Don’t you just love Merry-go-Rounds? when I first designed this Carousel Horse digital stamp I had a clean horse and that’s it but I am a stamper from way back and I love the collage look rubber stamps so I thought “hey, why not make a funky collage style digital stamp?” So I did and it is available in the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop:
The carousel stamp set and the Shabby houndstooth paper pack are both on sale at MyGrafico and available instantly!
Here is a look a the Carousel Horse mini set. I know everyone does not like collage style stamps so I also have a clean version of the horse and frame included:
On sale for 1.99
Now lets see what the fabulous Junior DT has been up to this week:
*February is customer Appreciation month at MyGrafico, the more you have spent in the past the more you save this month! Please see this page for full details. Thanks for stopping by and till next time Happy Crafting!
My Daughter Maizy has had a loose tooth for weeks, it is just about ready to let go, she lost her first tooth a couple of weeks ago and her new teeth are ready to come in. So when I hear my son yell “Look, your tooth came out!” I ran to Maizy to see her missing tooth…Well, it wasn’t Maizy, it was her twin sister Lila’s tooth that popped out, it was barely loose and she didn’t even notice it come out, we thought we had lost it but after much searching it was on her shirt the whole time:)
Digital Paper: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Punch: EK Success, Black paper: DCWV, Stamp: Fiskars, Font: LD Buttercream
I snapped this picture right after she lost the tooth, I only took one because this was so perfect. I used new paper from my Uptown houndstooth paper pack (on sale for $2.50) and paper from DCWV, I added some crotched flowers and I cut the title with my Cricut using SCAL software and the font LD buttercream. I think it is Fabulous!
Happy Monday folks! It is Martin Luther King day so most of us in the States have little ones home from school today, take some time to craft with your kids today, I know I will π I have added quite a few new cutting files and stamps to the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop. On this Layout I used the Pretty Banner SVG set and the Winged Things Digital stamp set. I love this photo from our wedding:
SVG die cuts, Digital stamps: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Paper: DCWVTo color this dragonfly I used a teal Sharpie for the dark areas then blended it with a light blue prismacolor marker.notice the glitter paper (scallop circles) I got 2 12x12 sheets for $1 at Target and it cuts beautifully in the Cricut!
The secret to this project is hot glue! I curled the wings of the dragonflies and put hot glue on the bodies and glued them to the page, it gives wonderful dimension, it is nearly clear and so quick! I used hot glue to glue the circles to the banners as well. Love the mini clothespins!
The banners are from the pretty Banner SVG set from Lindsay's stamp Stuff and the little birdies are from Cocoa Studio, both are available at MyGrafico.com!
I also used hot glue to put this decorative banner together, it was hard to photograph but you get the idea π
To make the top die cut layer stand out I used an old scrapbook staple: Craft-T Metallic rubons, just rub a bit of this metallic paste on the edges of your design for a subtle color and sheen. If you can’t find them in the craft store try a ceramic shop, this is great stuff and it lasts forever!
This sweet bird svg is from the Love is in the Air set from Cocoa Studio π
And now for the freebie, one of my SCAL friends asked me if I could make a cutting file for a friend’s wedding album of a flower girl, how could I resist? I also made a png and jpg digital stamp version. This would be cute to put on a thankyou card to a little flower girls don’t you think? Click the picture to download π PS. today is the last day to save 10% on SCAL with the coupon: 9388463
A freebie for you, click the picture to download!
Now lets see what the LSS junior dT has for us today:
Think of all the ways you could use these templates!
Here is a closer look at the Mardi Gras mask. I used purple, green and gold (traditional Mardi Gras colors) feathers to decorate it. I stamped the designs on the face and embossed them with gold tinsel EP before attaching the nose. The nose is a separate file and can be added to any of the masks, to use it fold it in half the long way then fold back the squared of corners and glue them together, that gives you a sturdy base to attach it to the mask.
I also included a card template for any costume party invitations you might need, I think it kind of looks like a fancy eye pillow so it would be cute as a spa party invite or even a bachelorette party invitation!
Use the enclosed card template to make cute invitations!
I have also had banners on the brain this week! Here is a new set called Pretty Banners SVG that has 8 cutting files for adorable banners perfect to decorate your home for birthday parties and holidays! I have included jpg files as well if you want to hand cut them or convert them for another digital die cutter besides the cricut.
That’s all for today, be sure to check out the huge sale at the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop at MyGrafico, hurry it ends tomorrow night at midnight GMT, till next time happy crafting!
Isn’t it funny when you need to get something done for a deadline you struggle but when you have a free day you can knock out 6 cards in an hour? That is how it is for me anyway π I never seem to have enough birthday cards so I decided to make a set of 8 using my new Recipe card and Folio SVG cutting file with my All Around Phrases, Sweet Stuff and Love Grows here digital stamp sets:
Stamps, Template: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff
All of my stamp sets work well with each other, I think the most versatile is the All Around Phrases digital stamp set because you can pop any other digi stamp (use the png version) in the center and you have an easy to trim element, plus anything in a circle is just cuter π This card features this weeks sketch from 2s4u, when you need a quick card nothing is easier than using a sketch:
How about a freebie? I am trying to better organize my scrap space so I have another ribbon organizer for you. Last weekend I gave you the ribbon bobbins, here is a ribbon/fiber card to cut with your Cricut and Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL) software. If you have a cricut you should have SCAL, it has been around for almost 2 years and has great customer support AND I have a coupon code to save 10% on SCAL: 9388463 it is good til the 18th. If you have SCAL 2 and havent updated recently the new update (SCAL 2.006) is great, you can break apart a design to arrange it on you mat, auto fill, and convert simple clip art into cutting files FUN! The update is free if you have scal 2:)
Here are the fiber cards loaded up with ribbons and fibers, pretty!
Download a version that will cut with Design Studio if you have the George Cartridge here. This makes the larger card.
Here is a look at how I cut the cards in SCAL. SCAL lets me re-size the cards however I like for large or small ribbons. I think if I cut more big ones I'll use chipboard for strength.
Now lets see what the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Senior DT has been up to this week, the have a new Guest Designer this month too, take a look:
Reserve a day for creative play in your craft space, who knows you might end up making 8 cards in an hour! All of the stamps and templates used in today’s project can be found in the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff shop, Remember for ever $5 you spend there you get a free single stamp OR at my shop at MyGrafico where you get your stamps INSTANTLY (but no free stamp, sorry.) Another reminder today is the last day to enter the recycling challenge, make a card using ANY digistamp and something recycled, leave me a link to it and I will toss you name in a hat for a chance to win a free set!
Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
Now I'll have a birthday card ready whenever I need one!
Happy Monday!!! For all of you stay-at-home moms out there putting your kids on the bus after Christmas break it’s a really happy Monday LOL! There is some exciting stuff happening in the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop; first of all we have a new designer joining the team & a customer challenge (details below) and we are now offering SVG files to cut with your Cricut Machines (I know a lot of crafters found a Cricut under their tree this year!) SVG files can be cut with a Cricut die cutter and SCAL software, it is very easy:)
I made the Folio large to hold 5″x7″ cards and envelopes. To do this I used a piece of Strathmore Art Paper (12×18″) on a large mat in my cricut Expression and cut it at 15″ wide. make sure the keep proportion box is checked if you want the same shape box, or keep it unchecked if you want a narrower or wider box…I love the options of SVG files and SCAL software! Here is the open box, this would be great for selling card sets in craft shows I think!
See how nicely they fit inside, the box is 3/4" wide at this size, plenty of room for 6 embellished cards:)
Another cool idea would be to make a tiny box to hold Business cards or ATCs, I even heard that calling cards are making a comeback! Oh, how about little gift card boxes, think of all the options! The Recipe Card and Folio SVG set comes with 4 tabbed recipe cards too so you can also make a recipe box, here is a look at the set:
you get 5 svg files for $3!
Here is another brand new Template in the Lindsay’s stamp Stuff Shop, this Mailbox comes in SVG, Printable and a png clipping mask all for $3:
This is fun and perfect for Valentines day!
***Just a Reminder that you have until Thursday to enter our Recycled Challenge: make a card with a digital stamp and a recycled item then post a link to your card on my blog or in the What’s digital Stamping yahoogroup. I will put everyone’s name in a hat and pick a winner to get a stamp set of their choice form Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff! Please join the fun!***
Now on to the fabulous Design team, I must say I missed not seeing their projects last week but they are rested up and ready for another week! I am sad to say that the talented Joy Stagg is leaving the team, this is her last week but I am thrilled to introduce you to Tanya Johnson how will be filling her shoes on the team.
How many of you vowed to be more organized this year? I love to organize…well in my craft room anyway LOL! If you have spools of ribbon and fibers taking over your craft area try this:
a quick and easy way to organize those ribbons!
I made these little bobbin cards with my cricut & SCAL software. I cut 10 fro a 12×12 sheet of cardstock to make my ribbon bobbins then wrapped them with ribbon and secured them with straight pins. It took minutes to cut and fill these and they are so cute!
I also made this cute mailbox with my Cricut and SCAL software, it is fun and cute, I think I will make one for every season!
This template is only $3 in printable/SVG/PNG format!
You can purchase this 3-D Mailbox template in SVG format to cut with your Cricut and SCAL software, a printable version (Just print the template and trace it on your cardstock) and a png clipping file if you want to use it with your digital papers! You get all of the formats for only $3 at the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop at MyGrafico!
Think of all the ways you could decorate this! Make the base from cardstock then add your favorite papers!
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by, til next time Happy Crafting!
This cocoa packet is one of my favorites, I designed the template last Christmas time and it was perfect for giving Starbucks gift cards;) It works well for a cocoa packet too, an inexpensive gift for a teacher or bus driver. Get the templates here:
On this card I used the free gingerbread clip art (see freebie pack below) and the scalloped rectangle from the embossed mats set (I adjusted the color to green) and typed “Happy Holidays” over it and printed it out as one image on a piece of cardstock that was my card base. I punched 2 holes and threaded a shot piece of ribbon through and viola: a card in 3 minutes!
Stamps/elements: Lindsay's stamp Stuff
I just did this card this morning, I printed one of the card base sheets from the new Winter Printables kit and cut it in half (you get two cards for one sheet) and folded it. I used the Gingerbread svg file from the freebie pack (I cut it with my cricut and scal software) and glued that on my card over one of the tags from the 3-D Advent Calendar set, then I cut a slit on the fold of my card for my ribbon and added that and finally I added the happy holidays tag also from the Winter Printables set. I added a punched tab at the top and over it an element from the Christmas Cupcakes set. As you can see all of the stamp set from Lindsay’s stamp stuff coordinate beautifully together π
Update: The Gingerbread man SVG was missing from the freebie zipfile. I rezipped it and you can download the freebie here. So sorry for any inconvenience π
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the states π I’ll be spending the afternoon with my parents having some yummy food and enjoying my family’s company. The great thing about being a vegetarian on thanksgiving is that no one asks you to cook anything, yep, I still get to mooch like a college student;) I’ll probably make some rolls and humus and maybe a vegan banana cream pie, yum!
3-D Advent calender kit, only $3, form Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Pattern paper: K&Co, Cardstock: Staples, The Paper Co.
A 12 days of Christmas calendar:
Arrange 9 green boxes and 3 brown boxes to make this cute, quick, calendar!
And Christmas ornaments (picture a little paper trunk underneath so it looks like a Christmas tree, I completely spaced when I made this LOL!)
One box makes an ornament π
And there is more you can make with the 3-D advent kit too, like a “cake” centerpiece by arranging the boxes in a circle and favor boxes for table place settings. I included a sheet of printable numbers for the calendar as well as a sheet of printable tags and blanks if you want to write a name in them. The numbers are sized to fit a 1 1/2″ circle punch perfectly saving you time and making this craft easy. I included a template with instructions written on it and I also put another printable template that has just the cutting and folding lines and there are two boxes on that sheet so you can put your 8 1/2″x11″ green cardstock in your printer and print the template right on the paper with little waste, no tracing, YAY! For those of you with Cricut Machines and SCAL software I have SVG cutting file in the kit so you can cut it with whatever Cricut you have! If you dont have SCAL yet you can use this coupon code: 97994821 to save 10% on the software, hurry, it expires on 11/30/09!
Speaking of free, here is a little freebie for my stamping AND SCAL/Cricut friends. You get 2 digital stamps in both png and jpg format and 2 SVG cutting files to cut with your Cricut!
Click the picture to download this fun freebie!
