Supplies:

Directions:
1. Draw and cut large cloud shape from 2 sheets of white paper.
2. Cut strips of paper (or use party streamers) and glue them to the bottom of one of the cloud shapes.
3. Cut a 6′ piece of gold ribbon, fold in half and tie in a knot in the middle to make a hanging loop, then glue to cloud so the loop comes out the top and the ends dangle down between the rainbow streamers. Add more dangly pieces of ribbon (about 1 1/2′ each) between the other rainbow colors.
4. Make gold coins by covering punched cardstock circles with gold foil candy wrappers and glue to the ribbons.
5. Glue the other cloud shape over the first one (only glue the top) and stuff with crumpled plastic shopping bags, then glue the bottom part of the cloud down. This is a great way to use up old shopping bags and recycle!
6. Now hang your beautiful rainbow mobile and enjoy! Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

Let’s Crochet a Shamrock!

Hello friends! Do you have something to wear this Saint Patrick’s Day? Don’t you know if you don’t wear green you might get pinched? Well, Here is an easy tutorial for crocheting up a cute little shamrock that you can pin to your shirt. It’s so easy you won’t need the luck of the Irish to make it! Watch the video to see how:

Pattern:

Make a slip knot leaving a 6″ tail and place on your hook. Use a hook to match the yarn you are using. It’s not a big deal if you go up or down a size, gauge is not important. Chain 6 and join to make a ring (or use the magic loop method)

*Chain 3, 2 double crochet (DC)  in the center of ring, chain 2, slip stitch to center. Repeat * 2 more times so you have 3 leaves on your shamrock.

Hold the working yarn and tail together and  chain 4-6 stitches to make the stem, snip yarn and secure.

Now use a safety pin to attach this to your shirt! Happy St. Paddy’s day and til next time happy crafting!
