And if that doesn’t satisfy the need for more vintage cards check out the brand new Holiday sampler from Ready-Set-Create! with over 100 cards (several from yours truly) you are sure to be inspired. Best of all they are never before seen cards, nope you have not seen them here so check it out! Here is a card not in the sampler but nice and vintagey!

Pirate Party Cards and Treat Holders!

Well folks they have extended the crop over at readysetcreate.com through tonight at Midnight EST due to the holiday so go over and check it out! Here are a couple more things of mine I did for the challenges: A hybrid card (all of the “stamps” on the card are digital) and Halloween party favors although i may use them at the pirate party.

I cut the skulls with SCAL and my Cricut (Elviz font) out of metallic cardstock from Wal-Mart.

For a tutorial on the treat holders click here.

A month ago my daughters had a pirate birthday party, if you want to see a girly version click here.

Have a great holiday!

Tee Pee Card and Metallic Cardstock!

You could have knocked me over with a feather when I spotted this gorgeous “mirror” card stock at Wal-Mart last night. I screamed to be embossed and turned into a funky metallic retro Christmas tree!

This card was made following a tutorial on Leann’s blog, aren’t her cards the cutest? Do your self a favor and spend some time being inspired by her work.

I embossed my card stock using the Fiskars texture plates and my big shot (tutorial here) because I was pretty sure the Fiskars texture tool (which I hate) would scratch it all up.

The stamps I used are the cheap dollar ones from Jo-Anns I bought during a momentary lapse of reason last year (I have a million xmas stamps already) so I had to use them so I don’t feel guilty about buying them! The Card stock pack was $8 for 20 or 25 12×12 sheets at Wal-Mart and it is glorious, thick and shiny! Have fun with this and thanks Leann for the tutorial!

Hope to see you at readysetcreate.com this weekend for the Fall Crop (I’m craftyvegan), until then, Happy Crafting!

Cybercrop next weekend!

I wanted to let you know that the RSC fall crop is going to be held this weekend and best of all you can attend from the comfort of your home and it is free!
There will be a cybercrop next weekend (Oct 11/12) at www.readysetcreate.com. I did the spring crop and it was so much fun. You need to register on the forum then they will have challenges that you can complete then photograph and upload you work for all of us to ooh and ahhh over. Do one or do them all It’s up to you and it goes all weekend and there are women from all around the world so people will be creating around the clock! It’s a lot of fun for any scrapper/card maker. Ready-Set-Create! is a great on-line scrap booking/crafting magazine! You should check them out (I’m a bit biased since Jen the editor was the first one to ever publish any of my craft work!) I hope to see some of you at the crop, don’t be shy it’s a pretty small group, all levels, and their are prizes for scrappers. My username is Craftyvegan so if you scrap make sure to say “hi”.
Hope to see you there and Happy Crafting!
