Yep, the title says it all right? Today I am going to shave a mixed bag of artsy techniques in two short videos. All the stamps used in this tutorial are by Pink Persimmon. Here’s what we will make:
On the first video I’ll show you how to use an everyday object as a stencil:
Now learn how to make professional 3-D banners without a fancy die cut machine. Lots of other tips in this video too like making shaped cards and scrapbook papers, stamping on curves, oh it’s a art technique potpourri! I hope you enjoy it:)
Here are close ups of the two cards I showed you in the video:

I made this fun layered flower SVG last night and thought I’d share. I cut the svg pattern from several different sheets of K&Co pattern paper then traced the flowers on a padded mailer (I save them whenever I get something shipped to me) and cut out the padded shapes 1/4″ smaller all around then I layered them and sewed them together with my sewing machine. The layers of bubble wrap stitched inside give it a quilted look. Then I used embroidery floss to stitch a button for the center to anchor it. wouldnt these be darling in Christmas colors for tree ornaments or hung in a girls bedroom or as a whimsical tag on a gift? Here I used the pattern on a scrapbook page.
Digital stamp: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff, Green watercolor paper (LSS freebie yesterday) Pattern paper: K&co, Cardstock: SU!
The green watercolor paper was from yesterdays freebie, I adjusted the color so I would have green paper and the sentiment is from the Doodle Flowers Digital stamp Set, I adjusted the color to white and layered it over the paper before printing. Be sure to use the png file for the sentiment so you will have a transparent background. I also made a couple more cards with the Doodle Flowers stamp set:
Digital Stamps: Lindsay's Stamp stuff, Markers: Bic Markits and Spica glitter pensHere is a side view so you can see the dimension and glitter pen shimmer.Simple card: print out the ladybugs stamp as big as you want the card to be, color, cut pieces apart and mount to an oval shaped card.
Remember that these stamps are on sale until midnight Saturday in the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shophandmade shop where you get a free stamp with every $5 you spend and also they are on sale at my MyGrafico shop.
Have a happy, safe Halloween and a wonderful weekend. Oh and another thing, I’ll be part of the Caardvarks holiday blog hop starting Sunday so be sure to check back, lots of Christmas ideas will be floating around! Til next time happy crafting!
