Scrap it already!

Ever take WAAAY to many photos and then feel overwhelmed when you sit down to scrap? I know I’m not alone here, but I found an easy solution to this. Print your photos out as a collage then paste the collage strait on to your patterned paper, add a few embellies and you are done!

I used my Cricut and SCAL software to make the die cuts on the layouts. I designed the chick in inkscape and you can cut it with your cricut if you have SCAL software.

Download the chick SVG cutting file here.

The bingo cards are a freebie also, I offered them before but in case you missed them you can download them here.

I have been trying to make crocheted flowers, I used my first attempts on this page, all of the paper is by Basic Grey. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Moldy Oldies and a Blog Award!

Admit it, you have a drawer (or 2…or 5!) filled with supplies that you loves so much that you couldn’t bear to use them, maybe you were saving them for that “special” page and a couple of years later your treasures are outdated! Don’t throw them away, mix them up with some new product and use them, after all you loved them when you bought them, they don’t spoil. Can you find the moldy oldies in this page? They are over 5 years old!

I’m sure anyone who has been scrapping for a few years recognizes the typewriter stickers from EK success, I loved everything that Rebecca Sower designed and I horded these stickers like crazy. And how about the antiquated journaling block, it was a free gift for attending a Creative Memories party 5 years ago! Speaking of CM I know a lot of you have the circle and oval cutters, I made the clips on this page with them, simply place an oval cutter on a piece of pattern paper and cut 3/4 of the way around with the green blade then replace the green with the red blade and cut all of the way around. I found a bag of those I made may years ago hanging out with those stickers! Oh yes, the pattern paper scraps behind the photos are oldies too (about 4 years) the only new stuff was the background paper (DCWV new boy stack) and the cricut cartridge (opposites Attract) that I cut my free vinyl from a sign shop with. Don’t be afraid to use old product!!!

…And now for something completely different…

Are you ready?

Yipee! Tonight is the season premier of Lost! There will be a recap on at 8 (ET) then a 2 hour premier! I am so excited, it’s the one show both my husband and I love. In fact I made this card for him on his birthday last year:

card by Lindsay Weirich 2009
"Id be lost whithout you" card by Lindsay Weirich 2008

I used my cricut (opposites attract) to cut the word “lost” from vinyl and stuck it on some white glossy cardstock, then covered it in ink. Then I stamped with staz-on on a transparency cut the same size as the cardstock and adhered it with black acrylic paint. I used a DYMO label punch for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by, I’d love to craft tonight but the island wont let me! *that was a Lost reference for those of you who think I’ve lost my marbles 😉
