Hey! I am so excited! I just got my copy of Rubber Stamp Madness (winter edition) in the mail today and I had this card published!

I used papers from my Handmade Holidays kit and a bingo card from my Vintage Christmas Labels set and as a bonus they are on sale for 40% off today {Wednesday the 21st} only along with everything at Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff so you can stock up and make a few more last-minute goodies:

Don’t you just love the cute santa and alphabet stamps I used? I just love combining digital and traditional products. It is the best of both worlds. I keep a stash of printed bingo cards in craft area so I can stamp on a quick sentiment when I need it (I also like to keep a stash of library cards on hand too like the one in the Teacher’s Helper set, they are so handy!) Also I love printing just what I need for paper. I tend to hoard my favorite sheets of traditional papers for just the perfect project but with digital papers I can simply print another sheet. The rubber stamps I used on the above card are by Pink Persimmon:

Both sets are so versatile! I’ll show you two other cards I made with that set later this week!

Quick & Easy USA Party Favors!

Howdy folks! Are you gearing up for summer Bar-B-Ques? Getting ready for the 4th of July Festivities? Or planning to get together with friends and watch the fireworks? Well why not whip up a few of these cute favor boxes. You can fill them with mints, candy or small trinkets. You get 4 boxes from 1 sheet of cardstock, I printed the star and stripe pattern papers that are included in the USA Party Mega Kit from Lindsay’s stamp Stuff to make these patriotic favors.

Each box takes a minute to make, watch the video to see how quick easy they are!

These favors can be adapted to whatever event you choose, I made similar ones for my sister’s wedding using cardstock of her wedding colors and I used a monogram to decorate it, it was very elegant (and she had no idea how easy they were!) Here is the USA Party Mega kit I used from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff:

This is a great go-to favor and I do hope you try making these for your upcoming 4th of July festivities.

More Cricut Crap {here’s the latest…}

OK I don’t mean to sound negative but every day I get more and more disgusted with Provo Craft (My personal ban on buying provocraft products since they sued Sure Cuts a Lot is saving me a mint BTW.) So, I told you a few weeks ago that Make the Cut and SCAL had removed cricut compatibility from the current versions of their software and if you did not have software to cut fonts and svg files with your cricut already your only option was Fairy Cut (you can read my review of this software here), well, it looks like they bullied the Fairy Cut folks too and on June 16th they are removing the Cricut drivers from their software and they are urging all of their customers to back up their software and save their email with their registration code in a safe place so they will still be able to use the software with their cricut after the 16th. I am so disappointed in the way ProvoCraft/Cricut has handled this whole situation. I do not like any company telling me how I can use a machine I bought and paid for. It would be like HP saying I can’t use Kodak paper or Cannon software to print my photos, it is crazy! It is funny I saw a Silhouette SD machine on sale at overstock.com for about $180 (which is far less than my cricut machines cost!) and you can cut what you want with it. I am so tempted in buying one but my Cricut still works fine and I am lucky to have working versions of SCAL, SCAL2 and Fairy Cut so I am not limited to Cricuts “offerings”.

But maybe you could win a Silhouette SD Machine and cut whatever you want with no worries, check out the awesome giveaway from Mygrafico:

If anyone had a Silhouette machine and wants to share their opinion on it please leave a comment, I want to be well-informed when my Cricut bites the dust 🙂 I’m still going to use my cricut (and other PC products tat I already own) after all they are bought and paid for but I will use them how I want and I will not buy more from those bullies, there are plenty of options for my crafting dollar.

Let me be the first to wish you a happy Valentine’s Day! I love Valentine’s day, I always have, I mean what’s not to love? Also since it is February 14th that means that this (the shortest month of the year but in the North it feels like the longest!) is half over and I don’t know about you but I am ready for March to roar in and bring with it some spring! This has been the snowiest winter I can remember-and living in Maine that says something! Anyway, back to Valentine’s Day, here are some gifties for my peeps:

I wrapped the presents in this beautiful birdcage paper (dollar spot at target, it will be cheap tomorrow LOL!) and made some quick tags using my Cricut & SCAL software and the SVG files in the A Little Lovin set from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff….
