Stamps (Rubber Stamp Tapestry) sets used:
Aloha
Aunties Strawberry Garden
Pansy Garden

Bittersweet
Clear flat backed marbles
Magnets and metal disks
Double sided adhesive
clear strong liquid glue (I used Jewel It)

Directions for magnets:
Stamp images on cardstock with India ink markers or waterproof ink. Color images with colored pencils. Glue glass marbles on images and let dry. Cut around marbles and adhere a magnet to the back.

For the card:
Stamp a frame in wreath style along the border of greeting card. Add metal disks to the center of the card to hold magnets and cover with a panel of patterned paper or cardstock.  The metal disks will keep the magnets attached to the card for gift giving.

Fun& Easy Projects for Kids and Adults! (Summer vacation is coming!)

Hi friends! Sometimes I get a craft supply in and my girls really dig it. That was the case with these plastic tray/frames called Alta-Caps from Craft Chameleon. You can use them to make magnets, jewelry, card and scrapbook embellishments and so much more!

I asked the girls if they would like to join me on today’s video and design some fun projects, see what they made!

Video!

Supplies:

You could use these accessories with the decorated Alta Caps.

*Note: Don’t use adhesive sheets in punches, it may create a lot of buildup on the punch and make it work poorly, besides, the adhesive sheets cut great with scissors. If you get adhesive on the scissors you can clean it off with goo-gone.

And now for a funny story…

I wore the butterfly necklace out that night to do some errands. I had to stop by a store and return a couple of shirts and the sales girl complimented me on my necklace to which I proudly exclaimed “I made it! It was super quick and easy, would you like it?” I think I came on a bit too strong, she gave me the ‘get this crazy lady out of here look’ handed me my receipt and said “No thank you ma’am” LOL! Some people just are not ready for my crafty enthusiasm I guess.

Cute Kids Craft! Bottle Cap Pins (or magnets)

Hi friends! A while back I asked my niece (who then asked her young and single friends) to save me bottle caps and I was rewarded with a bounty of them! I teach a monthly free kids class at the local library and I wanted a fun way to use some of them up and here is what I came up with. A fall craft for kids. Watch the video:

Fun huh? all you need is paper, bottle caps, glue, google eyes and some circle punches or small coins to trace. So…does anyone else have any bottle cap craft ideas? Leave them in the comments below and til next time happy crafting!

Cheeky!

Happy Monday folks! I have a nice relaxing weekend relaxing outside and digging in the dirt (still sore from digging, I have no gardening muscles apparently;)

The other day I was playing with some of the Pin Up images from Nicecrane designs and came up with some more cheeky gems!

I used images for the Sexy Pin Up collage sheet, Grunge Pin-Ups Covers,  and Unique Pin Ups all by Nicecrane Designs. All of the images on the sheets are 2 1/2″x3 1/2″, perfect for ATCs, but instead of making ATCs I glued the finished cards to magnet sheets to make fun & cheeky magnets, I think they would be great as a favor for a “Girls Night Out” or bachelorette party! This project qualifies for the Gingernap Creations Challenge (quotes), Stamping with Dragon (naughty theme),  Diecut Dreams (words, no stamped image), and Secret Crafter (no pattern paper).

,
Each magnet is 2.5"x3.5", click the picture for a closer look.

I get my sheet magnet for a local sign shop. They often have scraps that are too small for them to use and they will give it to you, I usually donate the magnet sheets to the local school but I will keep a few sheets on hand to make some more of these!

Since I have no need for 21 pin up magnets (I got a bit carried away making them, I couldn’t stop LOL!) I decorated  a little box to display them in at one of the local shops I sell at.

a simple covered display box;) These are addictive to make!
