3-D Flowers and a Freebie!

Happy Thursday folks! This is a fun week here at Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff, we have all of our designers in one big group posting together, what fun! We’ll take a look at their work in a bit but first here is a couple of boxes I made with my Box Bonanza templates and decorated with my new 3-D posies set:

I think I will fill these boxes with tulip bulbs for my mom and sister for mother's day {don't worry, they don't read my blog!}

The set comes with full instruction on making these flowers. These were fun to figure out and design:) I use my Cricut machine and SCAL software to cut out all of the elements here (so quick!) but I also include printable patterns in the kits as well. here are some close up looks:

The purple and pink rosebuds and fringed flowers only use one die cut a peice, so quick and easy. The yellow flower is several die cuts glued together.

This project qualifies for the following challenges: Chrismacardz (they have a wedding challenge and I think these would make lovely wedding favors), Creative Craft challenges (flowers) and also the botanical challenge (GC51) at Gingersnap Creations.

Here is a look at the 3-D Posies and Plant Pics template set:

Now here is your freebie: It is a flat 5 petal slightly funky flower you can use as is or do a little snippin’ and gluin’ and make this:

Here is a SVG and Printable template you can use to make a flat or 3-D flower, click the pic to download:)

Bring on the Coffee!

Today I thought I would use images from one of my favorite sets (the first set I created actually) Coffee Talk:

Digital Stamp and Templates: Lindsay's stamp stuff, Markers: Copic

I printed the coffee cups a few times on white cardstock and colored them with my Copics, I wanted them to look like postage stamps so I trimmed around the block with stamp-edge scissors and pierced around the elements. Cool, no?

I colored the stamps with copics on GP cardstock.

The rubber stamps in the background are from the pages seals set (company out of business, sorry) from Inque boutique

I like ATCs but honestly, I rarely make them but I had some leftovers so what is a girl to do? I was able to make both of the envelopes out of a single 12×12 sheet of paper (with the leftover scrap on the ATC) and the neat thing is both envelopes were cut from the same SVG file from the Envelope Bonanza kit, I cut them on my Cricut using SCAL software:

Both the printable and SVG templates can be resized!

Here is a look at the SVG and Printable templates you get in the Envelope Bonanza kit:

you get 7 svg templates and 8 300dpi printable templates for $4!

And now for your Thursday freebie: a printable sheet of 4 coffee themed papers and a coffee talk mesh svg file you can cut with your Cricut machine if you have SCAL software. Click the picture to download :)

A little giftie! Free paper and an SVG, enjoy!

Easy Envelopes {and other fun stuff!}

I took my kids to see The Princess and the Frog this week, I have to say it was a wonderful movie, even my 7-year-old son liked it. That influenced my project this week, I used the Pretty Princess Digital stamp set, Pretty Favors SVG and Birthday Cupcakes Stamps & Templates:

Everything you need for a birthday party! Pretty stamps, favor bags and cupcake wrappers all easy and quick!

I used the blank cupcake wrapper template in the Birthday Cupcakes set and took the png version of the crown stamp from the Pretty Princess set and layered the crown on the wrapper before printing. The purple wrapper was cut with my Cricut and SCAL software using the SVG file included in the kit. The Birthday Cupcake set with the SVG template is on sale for $2.25 right now at Lindsay’s stamp stuff!

SVG cutting templates make quick work of favors and decorations!

My friend (and fellow DT) Micki sent me some wonderful cardstock to play with, I printed all of the stamps for this project on Neenah solar white smooth and WOW! that stuff felt like silk to the touch, blending with my Bics, Copics and prismas was a breeze!

I love how bright my colors look on the Neenah cardstock!

I have decided to make an envelope for each card  make when I make it (not 5 minutes before I rush out the door to go to a birthday party) and I figured out a very easy way to make one with my cricut using either SCAL or Design Studio. all you need to do is take 2 rounded rectangles (make sure you check “weld” on each shape you use) and overlay them like this:

An easy way to make an envelope in DS or SCAL!

On the envelope I made here I did that but also I welded a label shape to the flap to fancy it up a bit:)

Stamps/Template: Lindsay's stamp stuff, Markers: Copic/Prismacolor, Paper: DCWV, Punch SU!

I know it is easy to do but You can download my envelopes if you like. They are sized to make a 5.5″x5.5″ envelope but you can simply drag them to the size you need.

Download a scut file to cut with your cricut and any version of scal here. *note this is a plain flap envelope, you can shorten the vertical  flap and weld on a scallop or fancy shape if you wish.

Download a cut file if you have a Cricut and Design Studio and the George cartridge. There are 3 envelopes in this file, each on separate layers, The first layer only used George, the other two also use accent essentials, there is a fancy flap one like the envelope pictured and a scallop flap one. these make 5.5″ square envelopes but you can adjust them as needed:)

And now for the freebie. I know many of you like to make ATCs (artist trading cards) so how about a stamp to use on the back. You can print out a sheet of these on cardstock and stamp and decorate the flip-side, how fun! Click the picture to download:)

Enjoy this fun freebie! Click picture to download. Persona use only, font licensed from http://www.letteringdelights.com.

Let me know what you think of this. If you like it I may make a full set of funky ATC backs!

Now lets see what the rest of the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff DT has for us today, We have a new Guest Designer and a new Full Time designer, how exciting!

Where for art thou, Mojo?

I’m wondering where my crafty mojo went this week? Luckily over the weekend I made this set with stamps from the Love Grows here set, paper from the Shabby Houndstooth paper pack and my brand spanking new Prismacolor Markers I bought from Blick Art Materials on sale!

Pretty and quick! Perfect for last minute cards and gifts!

The tag and pocket are a SVG file I designed and you can download it here free! Downlad the SCallop tri-fold card SVG here. Download the scallop tag svg here. You can use it on a scrapbook page to hold hidden journaling or as a cute tag pocket like I did here:

I am loving my new prismacolors! Stamps/template: Lindsay's stamp stuff

I had a scrap of the pink houndstooth paper so I made a simple card with the cherries from Love Grows Here, I used my Cricut and scal software to cut the scallop mat (you can save 10% on scal software until 2/28 with this coupon: 4190114)

Actually I colored the card with just my Bic Markits because my Prismacolors were not here yet, not bad for inexpensive markers!

I have a new kit in the shop this week, it is a layered digital stamp in png and jpg format and a box template on sale for $1.99:

Now lets see what the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff DT has been up to this week! That will kick-start my crafty mojo! With a new month we have a new Guest DT Rebekah Doak, she has not one but two lovely LSS projects on her blog so be sure to scroll down, I am looking forward to a month of inspiring projects from her!

Birthday Freebie!

I have another free  file that you can cut with your cricut if you have SCAL software for you today! It is a photo mat to match the party hat from yesterday. I had a party hat card and some punched circles left over from making the invitations so I decided to whip up a quick page:

Stamps: Pink Persimmion, Paper and Cardstock: DCWV, Die Cuts: My own design

Stamps: Pink Persimmion, Paper and Cardstock: DCWV, Die Cuts: My own design

Did you know that if you get published with stamps from some companies they will send you freebies? I was published in the September Vamp Stamp News using stamps from Pink Persimmon and they sent me this awesome banner set (and another I can’t wait to play with) for free! Get submitting! I love to scrapbook pages in advance, it really takes the pressure off and it is so much easier when you don’t have to try to fit a lot of photos in and if my colors don’t match the page I’ll print them in black and white!

OK I know you came her for the freebie so here it is:

Download the free flourished photo mat scut file here

Download the flourish SVG here (It is the same one from the peacock card so if you already have it you don’t need to redownload it but you need it in order for the scut to work!)

Here is a printable version (JPG) if you like to print and cut ;)

Don’t forget there is only a couple of days to save 10% on Sure Cuts a Lot 2, here is the code: 1847253 If you have a cricut machine you need this, I haven’t bought a cartridge since I got this software a year ago, it will let you cut most of the fonts on your computer and fonts and dingbats you download, it’s awesome!

That’s all for today, have a great weekend and happy crafting!

OSA Layout challenge 33 {and a freebie!}

Happy Tuesday! When I saw the sketch for this weeks layout challenge it immediately reminded me of the kaleidoscope scrapbook pages we used to make back in the day, there were plastic templates and hinged mirrors to help us crop our photos, Ahhh, memories….Well that had always been to fussy for me so instead of that I came up with this:

Stamps: About Art Accents, Paper: MME, Cardstock: Coordenations, SU!, Punch Martha Stewart, Die cut branch: Cricut/scal software using DB Asain Serenity font

Stamps: About Art Accents, Paper: MME, Cardstock: Coordenations, SU!, Punch Martha Stewart, Die cut branch: Cricut/scal software using DB Asian Serenity font

I used wonderful stamps from About Art Accents on this card, the look is simple but it was so fun to put together.

And I even have a scut file to make it even simpler that you can cut with your cricut if you have scal software, it will work in either version. The first shape is the mat, cut the other shapes out of pattern paper and slice the segments apart as shown. I also cut the branch in SCAL using the font DB Asian Serenity.

Download the star quilt card scut file here.

Or if you prefer a printable template you can download one here.

I’m off to enjoy the last few days of Summer vacation with the kids, til next time happy crafting!

Catch a Wave (and some freebies too!)

Wow, we finally have sun up in the northeast!!! I am totally in a beachy mood right now as you can see by my latest card:

Stamp: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, cutting files (They are freebies! download below!)

I was inspired by the gals over at Caardvarks to make a window card. I filled a zip-to baggie with hair gel and taped it to back of my window. on the inside there is a gradient blue panel that I made with a kaliedacolor ink pad, brayer and homemade shimmer spray. Here you can see the card closed and open:

Does anyone else have Beach Boys songs stuck in their head?

Here you can see the inside of the card, I sealed the baggie with my "Hot Marks" tool and I'm hoping for the best :)

I have had the fortune to try out a Wacom pen tablet. My friend Micki lent me her tablet and I can’t stop playing with the darn thing (hey Micki, do you think you could explain to my husband why I haven’t had time to do any laundry this week LOL!) The digital stamp on this card I made by drawing it right on the tablet, what fun! To see more of my designs click here.

I colored the digistamp with Bic Markits, I wish I cut out the inside of the pail's handle though.

I know it is one of my first attempts with the tablet, I am used to drawing by hand and scanning it into the computer, what do you think? I also drew the sun in inkscape and made a svg file that you can cut with your cricut if you have Sure Cuts A Lot software. I have a scut file for the card base too and I did not forget my cricut peeps who only have the free trial of DS you can make this card with Design Studio using the George cartridge (I think there is a sun die cut on the George card as well that you can use in place of my sun svg.)

Freebie download links:

NEW* here is a printable version of the card and sun template!!!

Free Teacher Card Templates and Cricut Cutting Files!

Happy Weekend! My Hubby got the playhouse finished and it looks like we will have some good weather to be outside and play! The school year is winding down for us, only one week left, so it is time to finish up those last minute teacher cards and gifts. while were at it let’s not forget the person who delivers our children safely to school each day, the wonderful bus driver:

Stamp: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Templates: see below, To make the lights "shine apply double stick tape behind the holes on the yellow paper and sprinkle with glitter from the front.

I made both of these cards using my Cricut machine and Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL) software. These are scut files rather than SVG files so you will need to have the font I used installed on your computer, its a great font called Inter and you can download it for free here. You will find a lot of useful dingbats on this font with a school and transportation theme.

Free downloads:

Here is the SCUT file for the Bus Card for Cricut/SCAL users.

Here is the SCUT file for the Apple Card for Cricut SCAL users.

Here is a PRINTABLE template for the Bus Card.

Remember when you use a SCUT file in SCAL you open it rather than importing it and it will be all laid out to size, no resizing needed;)

Have a wonderful weekend and till next time happy crafting!

Happy Birthday Buckaroo!

I must admit that I have a soft spot for cowboys, or rather cowboy/western themed scrapbook products! I love this Free -Form Horse stamp from The Rubber Cafe, it was the first stamp I ever got from them, isn’t he wonderful?

Paper: DCWV, Stamp: The Rubber Cafe, Die Cuts: Cricut/scal

Paper: DCWV, Stamp: The Rubber Cafe, Die Cuts: Cricut/scal

I used Kazan’s card sketch from 2 sketches 4 you to make the card. I cut all of the elements with my cricut using Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL) software. I used the fonts: SaloonEXT and WMDesigns1 to make my scut file. You can snag my file for free here. You will need to have the above fonts installed to use it or it will look weird :)

The paper is from the new Die Cuts With a View “boy” premium stack and I LOVE every sheet of paper in that thing! To get a distressed look I inked the edges of all the elements and tapped the flourish with a  gold ink-pad before heat embossing with gold Emb. powder.

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check back tomorrow because I will be announcing the brand new Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Design Team! These crafty chicks rock and I can’t wait for you to meet them! Til then Happy Crafting!
