Let’s Make a Duct Tape Tote! & EasyLunchboxes Winner Revealed!!!

Hi friends! Another snowy day in Maine, man, Mother Nature better shape up, it is supposed to be spring in a few days! Oh well, I decided to combat this constant deluge of winter by making an easy clean beach tote BUT FIRST I want to announce the winner of the EasyLunchboxes and Cooler bag giveaway (drum-roll please….)¬†Marina M! Marina, please check your email for details. ūüėÄ Last week after¬†I made my quilted lunch bag I realized that I had no room for water bottles (well I guess I could have laid them over the top of the boxes in a pinch…) and I probably would not want to get the pretty fabric wet and sandy so I decided to make a wipe-down, no-sew, duck tape beach bag that will fit 4 ELBs and 4 water bottles. Have a look at today’s video:

For this project you will need:

  • Duct tape
  • Tarp
  • Craft knife
  • Ruler
  • Thin cardboard or matboard

Tips:

  1. Save scraps of tape to fill in bits as needed.
  2. Create the main part of the bag with solid color duck tape because it is less expensive.
  3. If you can’t find a tarp (I got mine at the dollar store) you can¬†wash and recycle a grain bag or something similar.

I think this bag is going to be super useful this summer and I hope you try this project too! Thanks so much for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

EasyLunchBoxes Winner!

Hi Friends! Today I get tp pick a winner of a set of EasyLunchBoxes and cooler tote! Woohoo! And the winner is…… Yvonne Irish!!! I have sent you an email!

I have found myself using my ELBs all over the house. I have a set for crafts and a set for lunches. I have been in the habit of after dinner packing leftovers in the bento style boxes for my hubby to take to work. The other day when my son decided 5 minutes before the bus came that he needed cold lunch for school I was able to make a sandwich and pack fruit and snacks for him in 3 minutes flat! I mostly love how the ELBs go in the dishwasher because I have decided that I will not longer purchase anything that will not go in the dishwasher! Yes, I am¬†that lazy. Don’t judge. I am even using them to make a portable gift wrap box, I placed in tags, 2 mini sharpies, washi tape and baker’s twine so anyone who needs to wrap gifts can take the box where they want to wrap.
