40% off and a Freebie!

Howdy folks! It is unofficially Summer here, the kids are out of school and I am feeling like some easy-breezy crafting! To get you in the crafting mood I have put the ENTIRE Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff shop at MyGrafico 40% off!

Here are a couple of cards and envies that were a breeze to make using my new Digital Stamp set On The Line and my trusty Envelope Bonanza templates.

To make the envelopes I simple cut the SVG file with my Cricut and SCAL software, Don’t worry if you don’t have a Cricut because you get re-sizable jpg templates in the Envelope Bonanza set too so you can print if you prefer 😉

These cards were simple to make. First I layered my stamps and text the way I wanted them and placed my arrangement on a new 8.5″x11″ document. I printed both cards on one sheet of cream cardstock.  Then I dragged apart the banners and printed them again on a piece of copy paper. After that I taped scraps of patterned paper over the spots where the banners printed and put it through the printer again so that the banners were printed on my pattern paper. Then I simply cut out the banners from the PP and adhered them to my card over the printed banners. I stamped “DAY” and “BOY” with rubber stamps (inkadinkado) and punched them out, inked them and added them over the banners with foam tape. This is an easy pattern you could make a bunch of quickly and have on hand for birthday’s and baby showers. Just don’t forget to make matching envelopes too!

I have a hard time with "boy" cards and clean and simple but I think this time I pulled it off 😉

Stamps from the Doodle Flowers set: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Today I thought I would play with my Doodle Flowers stamp set and my Cricut. The fry box is today’s freebie, there are little notches in the back so you can see where to score. To make the front puff out you need to score the bottom of the box on a curve. I simply lined an oval template up between each edge and used a bone folder to score mine, easy peasy! The tag was made with the Storybook cricut cartridge and all of the cardstock I used was actually file folders by Smead, when I saw the pretty colors at Sam’s Club the other day I couldn’t resist and they cut beautifully in the cricut!

Quick tips:

I knew I was going to cut these digital stamped images out so I colored them very sloppy and quickly, coloring outside the lines makes a design you will trim closely look more polished!

Instead of carefully cutting around the ladybugs antenna I cut them off entirely and drew them on with a pen.

One of my favorite things about digital stamps is how I can use them with my traditional supplies and get more bang for my buck. I used the cupcake stamp from my new Love grows here digital stamp set and the sketch from 2s4u, assorted rubber stamps and bits of wrapping paper to make this card.

I used a stamp wheel to make the design on the pink paper. The ledger paper strip is digital, the blue scallop strips is wrapping paper (I like the paper more than the gift it was wrapping!) and the postage stamp is a die cut from Ellison that I masked with a post-it and stamped, fun!

Curiouser and curiouser…

There is just something about Alice in Wonderland that I fine quite charming, especially the Victorian illustrations. Here I used the Alice ATC sheet to make 11 artist trading cards:

What a fun way to use up all of the “junk” you’ve been collecting!

And a funky necklace:

I place the tall Alice between two microscope slides and taped it closed with stained glass tape.

The tag is a Colorbox style stone that I've had for a while. I stamped the playing card (another yard sale find) on both sides of the tile with staz-on and colored it with Bic Mark Its.

This is how the necklace "hangs" when worn.

Coloring tip: I used my Prismacolor colored pencils to color the images. I blended them with GooGone using a pointy Q-tip. I get mt Pointy generic Q-Tips from the dollar store, they work great because they don’t have as much “fluff” on them. I used 2 q-tips to blend the entire sheet and the opposite end has a wide paddle type applicator that is great for applying chalk or blending large area of pencil. I prefer the cheap q-tips to using a blending stump (and they are WAY cheaper!)
