Right on time!

I am actually (knock on wood) ready for Christmas. I finished my Christmas gift calendars, did a bit of cooking and knitting and a lot of online shopping and I am all set. Last week I showed you have to make a calendar (click here for instructions) and now I have the rest of the pages done. This was made easy by using my digi scrap stash and my new colored calendar page toppers (I have them in a stamp version too), I created all of the pages digitally and printed out 4 copies for the calendars, I even printed out an extra of each page for my 2009 family album, a years worth of photos scrapped in a short amount of time, it’s a good thing;)

The year at a glance, my 2010 calendar pages with 2009 photos.

Just a reminder that all of the stamp sets in my shop are buy 2, get one free.

Yep, that’s right by 2 stamp sets, get 1 free! Now here’s how it works, if you are shopping at the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shophandmade store you order your two sets, when I email you your order I will ask you what stamp set you want for free, easy peasy, and you will still get a free single stamp for every $5 you spend! *Amendment to this sale, since I sell single stamps in this store I will include them in the sale as well. To keep it simple if you ordered a total of $30 worth of product from my Shophandmade store when I email you your stamps I will ask you to pick $15 woth of free product, that way you can pick what you like and keep it less confusing…I hope;)

If you are shopping at the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop at MyGrafico you order your two Lindsay’s stamp sets and when you go through the checkout you need to write the Lindsay’s stamp set you want for free in the comment box and you will get that set emailed to you separately. This special is available in my shop only so you cannot combine sets from other designers at MyGrafico to get the deal;) Let me know if you have any questions.

Now let’s see what the Junior Design team has whipped up for us today:

OK now on to the project! I released two sets of calendar stamps this week. They are great for using as the title for a monthly wrap up page or for making calendars, I make one for my parents and MIL each year and they are always a hit.

Calendar cover: Bookplate element: Lindsay's stamp Stuff (Embossed Mats Set), Papers and other embellishments: Shabby Princess, Cover stock, Comb binding: Office Supply store

To make the base for my calendar I printed a free calendar from this site. You can customize it to your language, country and font preferences, it is very handy! I print out the 12 months and place a blank cardstock on top and bind the stack together, there are step-by-step instructions here on how to bind your calender with a Crop-a-Dial. then I simply make scrapbook pages and adhere them inside the calendar. Now the coolest thing is that if you digiscrap you likely have 12×12 or 8×8 pages already done, well if you resize them to 8.5″x8.5″ and paste them in a new 8.5″x11″documents you can add the calendar toppers which are 8.5″x2″, slide them together to make a 8.5″x10.5″ page, print, trim off the strip at the end and it will fit your calendar perfectly allowing room for the binding! Gettin’ Digi With it!

Happy Monday folks! I must say this post is a surprise to me because when I sat down to print out my designs from my brand spanking new Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff set “Card, Tags and Toppers” I expected I would be on my merry way to decorate some treat bags in my craft room, well, I live in the North, it’s December and my craft room is in my unheated basement so I was more inclined to stay at my cozy computer and digiscrap instead:

Papers, Mat, element: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Fonts: LD Buttercream, DB Pretty Borders

I used the Winter Printables set to make this scrapbook page, I love this pink/green/red combo. The pink paper is from this weeks freebie and you can snag it from this post. I used an embossed scallop mat from the embossed mats kit to mat my photo.

Ink Saving tip: Using white elements gives your eyes a chance to rest and since white is the color of your paper you are saving ink! Notice how I like to distress the edges of the paper and print designs in white, you get a nice blast of color but it is also easy on your ink cartridges (they don’t call me the Frugalcrafter for nothing 😉 )

This quick card is included in the Cards Tags and Toppers Kit on sale for $3!

I did play with the Card, Tags and Toppers kit by taking 30 seconds out of my evening and plopping a photo into the 4×8 holiday card…OK 35 seconds, I had to type “Merry Christmas from the Weirichs” LOL! This may be my easiest Christmas card yet! Here is a look at the kit:

I will have some more samples using the kit on Thursday along with another freebie so be sure to check back for that. But now make sure you see what the fabulous Monday Crew at Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff has been up to:
