Free Collage Sheet & 30% off Sale!

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” No, not Christmas, back to school time! I decided to mark the last week before school starts in my neck of the woods with a big sale, everything in the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff shop at MyGrafico is 30% off through Saturday!

I was inspired to make a back to school set using my new Teacher’s Helper SVG set, it has tabs, clips, pockets, folders and a sliding box plus 2 digital stamps all for $4! (that’s on sale for $2.80!)

Stamps, papers, diecuts: Lindsay's stamp stuff

I used a bunch of LSS kits on this set: Uptown Houndstooth and School Papers Digital Paper Packs, School Bingo Cards form School Rules Kit and of course the die cutting templates from Teacher’s Helper SVG set. There are printable templates in the kit too if you don’t have a cricut and SCAL software (BTW, I just saw on the Craft Edge website that SCAL is on sale for $59! SCAL allows you to cut SVG files AND your computer’s fonts with your Cricut machine!)

This card took minutes to make! you could also use the idea for a belated birthday card and stamp "Happy Birthday & past due" on the library card!

This box is about pencil box sized but you could make a mini slider box to fill with treats or candy!

This is jut a fun tag made from leftovers, you could use it as a book mark or a backpack ID tag (you might want to laminate it first though:) This set qualifies for the following challenges: Creative Inspirations (bookmark),  Cutie Sunday and HandStamp Creations and I Did IT creations and One Stop Craft Challenges (anything but  a card),  Double Dutch (make your own DP-Hey I designed all of the pattern paper-does that count?), Frosted Designs and Lil Red Wagon (back to school), Gingersnap creations (red and black), Incy Wincy and Lollipop crafts (buttons/bows).

Here is a look at the new sets at Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff this week, remember everything in my shop is on sale for 30% off through Saturday!

Sweet Set {of cards}

As you know my birthday was last week and since my friends and family spoiled me rotten I am in need of many thank you cards so I made a bunch with my new Sweet Treats 2 and Sweet Stuff digital stamps from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff:

Digital stamps: Lindsay's stamp Stuff: Rubber stamped sentiments from SU!, Inkadinkado, Paper from PSX, Sandylion

The Sweet Treats 2 stamp set is so fun, in addition to the “goodies” included with the kit you can also use digital stamps from the Sweet Stuff set and even rubber stamps to combine with this it is so fun! I recommend using the png versions of the files in the kit and place the cake plates on top of the goodies for best results and yes, you can even layer these in word or Open Office  if you don’t have fancy software;) Here are closer looks at the cards:

These cards qualify for the following challenges:2 Sisters (anything goes), Clearly I stamp (gratitude), Critter Challenge (thank you) and Raise the Bar (baked goodies).

Take a look at all {14!} of the stamps you get in this set:

And now for the freebie, it is a sweet SVG set, a jar you can fill with goodies, how cute would that be on a card or scrapbook page? SVG templates can be cut on with your Cricut using SCAL software. If you don’t have a cricut, no worries, the printable template is included;)

a fun little freebie template for you 🙂 click the pic to download!

Freebies, Freebies Everywhere!

Howdy folks, I hope you are having an excellent weekend. I have a new freebie for you today but first I want to show you two cards I made with thursday’s freebie and mention the Fathers Day sale going on at MyGrafico, Save 25% on everything at Lindsays Stamp Stuff including the new sets I added this week!

Stamps: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Papers: Lilybimble all available at mygrafico.com

I use the stick dog and cat freebie that coordinated with the People Mix  & Match set for the focal point of the card. The adorable papers are from the Maribelle collection form Lilybimble, a talented new designer at MG. I simply chose to print the papers in my photo software selecting 4 to a page, that shrunk the pattern making it perfect scale for cards.

BTW the cards here qualify for the following challenges: Creative Card Crew (thank you) and Creative Cottage (it takes two: Card and a matching envelope).

Stamps: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Paper: Autumn Leaves, Font: LD Noodge

Aren’t they fun! I’m not sure if I like using the digital stamps of the SVG designs better, they are both a lot of fun! Now the stamps I used in the cards a free in my shop but I had a customer request for faces with curly hair to match the people in the mix & match set so here they are, click to download:

this coordinates with the people mix & match set from Lindsay's stamp stuff, you get 2 stamps (png & jpg) and SVG cutting files for your Cricut machine!

Speaking of NEW I just released this digital stamp set in the shop Yesterday, it is called Strawberries and Watermelon:

This set is 25% off this weekend along with everything else!

What are you waiting for, get shopping at save 25% off all Digital stamps. papers and SVG templates at Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff. The sale ends Sunday at Midnight so don’t wait!

How to make vinyl decals with your Cricut!

How would you like to make custom decals for your car, wall decor and signage for fun or profit with your Cricut machine? Sounds fun huh, it is easy too with Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL) software! I had a customer request to make some stick people digital stamps with interchangeable heads and bodies so I made the People Mix and Match digital stamp set BUT I also made a SVG set too and included it in the kit, I used it to make this nifty decal for my van:

check out the tutorial below!

Here is a close up of the decal:

And here is a look at the People Mix and Match SVG/Digital stamp set:

20 digital stamps and cutting files!

Now on to the tutorial! It is a bit long and picture heavy so I have made a PDF tutorial that you can save, print and review when you go to start your next vinyl project. I suggest calling your local sign shop to see if they can save their scraps (which are always generously sized!) for you so you can practice. If you get serious about making signs and decals you can purchase wonderful vinyl, even chalkboard vinyl, by the roll. Check out the tutorial here:

Now for your freebie! I wanted to have a couple stick pets in the set but did not have room so I made a little freebie set for you 🙂 Click the image to download.

40% off and a Freebie!

Howdy folks! It is unofficially Summer here, the kids are out of school and I am feeling like some easy-breezy crafting! To get you in the crafting mood I have put the ENTIRE Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff shop at MyGrafico 40% off!

Here are a couple of cards and envies that were a breeze to make using my new Digital Stamp set On The Line and my trusty Envelope Bonanza templates.

digital Stamps/templates: Lindsay's stamp Stuff, Paper: DCWV, Cardstock: Staples, Markers and Pencils: Prismacolor

To make the envelopes I simple cut the SVG file with my Cricut and SCAL software, Don’t worry if you don’t have a Cricut because you get re-sizable jpg templates in the Envelope Bonanza set too so you can print if you prefer 😉

Stamps from the new On The Line set from Lindsay's Stamp Stuff.

These cards were simple to make. First I layered my stamps and text the way I wanted them and placed my arrangement on a new 8.5″x11″ document. I printed both cards on one sheet of cream cardstock.  Then I dragged apart the banners and printed them again on a piece of copy paper. After that I taped scraps of patterned paper over the spots where the banners printed and put it through the printer again so that the banners were printed on my pattern paper. Then I simply cut out the banners from the PP and adhered them to my card over the printed banners. I stamped “DAY” and “BOY” with rubber stamps (inkadinkado) and punched them out, inked them and added them over the banners with foam tape. This is an easy pattern you could make a bunch of quickly and have on hand for birthday’s and baby showers. Just don’t forget to make matching envelopes too!

I have a hard time with "boy" cards and clean and simple but I think this time I pulled it off 😉

These cards qualify for the following challenges: Aimee’s (something for a girl: It’s your Day card), Craftalicious (anything new), Drunken Stampers (Birthday),  Cupcake Inspirations (it’s your day card), Incy Wincy (paper piecing), Pile it On (Quirky), Stamp Something (use a Digi), Dancing Pajamas (alphabet stamp) and Artful Inkables (a new technique: paper piecing with a digi).

Now Lets have a look at the new On the Line set, it is on sale along with everything at Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff (mygrafico shop only) until Saturday!

wow! 19 stamps in all!

And because it is Thursday I have a timely freebie for you for all those last-minute graduations cards, click the picture to download.

More Summery Cards & a Freebie!

I have been having a fun time with my new Seaside Sketches set. I love how the stamps can be used for male or female cards (I have a really hard time with cards for guys) plus you can feel like an artist when you color them!

Digital Stamps/Paper: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

I colored the images on both of these cards with Copic Markers. The key to making them look effortless it to keep the coloring quick, easy and sketchy. Instead of trying to blend with little circles make big expressive strokes. It may seem scary at first but give it a try, after all it’s just a piece of paper 🙂

Quick strokes of color in the sky make it look like a breezy day at the beach.

Another fun thing to try is making your own embellishments with polymer clay. Here I took a rubber stamp of a sanddollar and pressed it into tan clay (be sure to knead the clay for 10 minutes before using), baked it and brushed on some white paint to bring out the texture. Tip: Ink up your stamp with clear embossing ink before you press it into the clay to act as a release agent.

Add layers of cardstock and 3-D elements to creat a sence of dimension.

Look around for embellishment that will help convey the mood of your card, some mesh ribbon reminded me of fishing nets, flock was like sand and I made some “flower soft” by rubbing two styrofome balls together nad coloring with alcohol ink to give the card some chunkier sand. Foam tape between the layers of cardstock give the card depth.

Building a 3-d scene on a card is fun, give it a try;) These cards qualify for the following challenges: The crafty pad (guy card), Cupcake Craft (summer delights), Daisy Doodles (anything goes), Delightful Sketches (add texture), Everybody Art (Summer), PaperTake Weekly (Summer), and Stamptacular Sunday (Life’s a beach).

Now on to today’s freebie! DT member Leanne asked me to make this sentiment into a stamp for Father’s day, click the picture to download 🙂

Now let’s see what the rest of the LSS DT has been up to. Also we have a new designer with us, please welcome Diane Bove!

Nifty Gifties & a Freebie!

Howdy folks! Can you believe it is May 2oth already? Wow in a few weeks out kids will be home for summer vacation! Why not make some end of year teacher gifts to show your children’s teachers how much you appreciate them. Here I have made a few containers that my children can fill with home-made goodies, I use the new School Papers, Uptown Houndstooth papers, Envelope bonanza, 3-D Posies, School Rules Stamps and today’s freebie from Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff.

All supplies: Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

I used the sketch from 2sketches4you and the challenge at Gingersnap Creations to use a quote, and the black, white + another color at Magical Crafts. the tins are for the Anything but a Card challenge at One Stitch at a time

.

A Super quick card! Simply trim the paper from the school papers collage sheet, wrap with ribbon and adhere it to a 4.25" square card, color the teacher quote stamp, cut with mini scallop scissors and adhere over, die cut 2 flowers from Posies SVG set, curl petals and attach with a brad.

The tins were great fun to make, I bought a new can opener that cuts the can slightly under the lid so there is no sharp edges and then the lid sets right back on as neat as you please. The can opener was the good cook brand and I bought it for $8 at the grocery store. I painted the tins red (use spray paint, the acrylic paint I used will scratch off easily, live and learn:) then wrapped them with strips of paper from the Uptown Houndstooth and School Papers set.

on this can I cut 3 flowers from the 3-d posies set and curled the petals, I put foam tape between the layers for extra dimension.

Tip: To print the papers change your printer setting to 8.5×11 borderless and switch the orientation to landscape, then choose center on page and print at 100%. You will get a borderless sheet of paper and the 11″ strips will more than wrap around the tins and you will have leftover paper for other cards. I printed the paper on cream cardstock and it is designed to use little printer ink 😉

A strip of printed twill tape and a few stick pins add a nice touch, I'm keeping this one!

It was fun to round-up found objects to use as handles on the lids. Spools, blocks or other toys work great for this! Before I glued the objects on the lid I Cut circles from the bingo cards in the school rules kit to adhere to the lid for a funky base.

Funky, no?

If you are a little pressed for time here is a quick little gifty, I used the ATC envelope from the Envelope bonanza kit to make a easy gift card holder, who wouldn’t love a gift card to Starbucks or a book store?

Quick, cute and easy, gotta love that!

And now for the freebie!

I have no idea who said this but I think I hear Tom Sellec say it on a public servise announcement once:) Click the pic to download. Enjoy!

Well, aren’t I a windbag today? How about we turn it over to the fantabulous Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff DT, let’s see what they have cooked up for us this week:
