More fonts that look like Cricut carts!

I was just looking at the new cards coming out from Cricut and Surprise (insert sarcasm) many are the same as fonts from Lettering Delights. And I already have them, Yay me! Now I will warn you that many times after a font is made into a cart it disappears from the website so if you want them get them now! Here are 2 cards I made with the doodlebat font Good Company:

Font (used as a die cut) DB Good Company, Tool Cricut and SCAL software, Paper: DCWV, K&co, Stamps: Limited Edition (hello), Magenta (flourish), Repeat impressions (sentiment)

Have you heard about the new Cricut Circle club where you pay $275 a year to get 4 sight unseen carts only available to members? Pa-leeze, the first cartridge is called french mannor and it is so similar to DB Good Company from Lettering delights. (I have not played with the cart, the info comes from Linda at JustaScrappin) $3 vs $80 you be the judge.

To use this font with your cricut is simple. First you need software to cut the fonts. I use Sure Cuts a Lot (SCAL) and I click on the font I want and all of the images show up on the screen, I pick the one I want and it shows up on the mat then I re-size it and cut, easy peasy! Think of all the cool fonts you already have you can cut with your cricut!

I love the sentiment on that card, and it is so true!

The new Pumpkin Carving seasonal cartridges is like DB Jack-o-Patterns and Jack-o-Patterns 2 also from Lettering delights.

There is 3 fonts that look like Cricut carts, To see my previous list of matching fonts check out this post.

These cards qualify for the following challenges: Crazy 4 Challenges (red, black, white),  Creative Card Crew (use a die cut) and Daring Card Makers (use a silhouette.)

Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

Fonts that look like Cricut carts!

Hi Folks, as you know I love my Cricut and I adore all the fonts I can cut using Sure Cuts a Lot software{For those of you not in the know you can hook your cricut up to your computer and cut the fonts on your computer with SCAL software} I am a big fan of the doodlebats from Lettering delights and come to find out many of the fonts I have purchased from them (for about $3 a pop) have been turned in to Cricut Cartridges! Here is a Card I made with DB Fruitbowl, looks an awful lot like the new Preserves Cricut cart, don’t ya think?

I made this card and envie in minutes!

Letting Delights has a lot of fonts that look just like the cricut Cartridges, I’d think they were copying except the fonts were out before the cartridges so I suspect Cricut has bought the rights to some of them like the font DB Asian Serenity, that was removed from the site after the Cricut Cart Pagoda came out, Luckily I snagged that as soon as it was available, here are two cards I made with that font cutting out the die cuts with my Cricut and SCAL software:

I cut the panda with my cricut and SCAL software using the font DB Asian Serenity
I cut the branch with DB Asian Serenity from Lettering Delights

Now I do not work for Cricut or Lettering Delights so I cannot confirm that the fonts and cartridges are the same BUT of the cuts look identical to me! Here are some of the look-alikes I found:

Some fonts are exact, others have some of the images but not others. Some carts seem to be made from several fonts.

When I looked at Lettering Delights website today I saw many doodlebats were removed, I bet they are being made in to carts as we speak so if you see some you like grab them before they are gone!

Card made with DB fruitbowl and cricut machine with SCAL software.

Back to the original card, I used the sketch from 2sketches4you. This card also qualifies for the following challenges: AIfactory (punch), Clearly I Stamp (Birthday), Drunken Stampers (birthday), Corrosive Challenges (Die Cuts), MelJen’s (Dry Embossing), Penny’s Challenges (fruit), No Time to Stamp (something sweet),  Wee Memories (Punch-it), and YNS (use a border punch)

whew! That was a lot of challenges! Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!
