Style Swap {Day Two!}

As soon as I saw this cute Birds & Blossom Set from Sarah Paris Style I know I wanted to make a gift set:

Digital Stamps: Sarah Paris Style, Paper: DCVW

I used the sketch from 2Sketches4you to make this, I used Kazan’s Sketch #41 for the tea tin and the bonus sketch for the card, talk about easy!

I love these bird stamps, I'll be using this set again and again, I used the bonus sketh at 2s4y as my inspiration;)

Get inspired! Use a card sketch to decorate a tin! I used Kazan's #41 at 2s4u and Stamps from Sarah Paris Style!

The elements in the Birds and Blossoms set are black and grey. It was super easy to color them just the way I wanted. First I chose the png versions of the files I wanted and pasted them into a new 8.5″x11″ document in PSP. Then I used the paint bucket tool to color it in, easy peasy! The “inked looking” boxes around the elements are done by using the rectangular selection too to make a box around the image, then I used the art media tool (colored pencil selected at a large size) and I drew along the edges. I saved my printable sheet so I could print it again when I wanted to make another set. Here is a screenshot of my colored sheet:

You can find gift packages of the tea tins in department stores this time of year, they are fun to decorate and add to gift baskets, if you wait til after Christmas you can by them for half price and use them for gifts throughout the year. As a bonus the recipient has a pretty storage tin when the tea is gone! I had so much fun swapping products with Sarah Paris Style, be sure you stop by her blog to see the beautiful card she made with my doodle flowers set and check back at her blog tomorrow to see what else she has in store using Lindsay’s Stamp  Stuff products. Thanks for stopping by and til next time happy crafting!

4 new digi-stamps!

Wow, it’s Thursday again, where did the week go? I just added 4 new stamps to the Lindsay’s Stamp Stuff Shop, all flower themed, here are some projects made with them. Don’t forget for ever $5 you spend in the LSS shop you get a free stamp!

I used my Cricut and Sure cuts a Lot software to make the pizza box.I cut it from 12″x18″: Strathmore Art paper, I love this stuff for making boxes because it is very sturdy and has a nice texture plus it is super cheap, a pack of 40 assorted color 12″x18″ sheets is under $10, I’ve seen it around $5 on-line at places like and Blick Art Materials. It also comes 9″x12″ and it cuts well in the cricut. To help fold the ridgid paper I used my scor-pal, since the box was bigger than the platform I had to maneuver it a bit to score it but it was worth the effort, I used my Scor bugs to make the pierced holes and I assembled it with scor-tape which I hadn’t tried before and was skeptical about, but it really stuck and I only used a little bit of the 1/2″ tape under each flap. The neat thing about the tape is that you can tear off the amount you need and that’s great for me because I always seem to lose my scissors in the middle of a project 😉 Also I used watercolor crayons and a blender pen to color my digital stamps. You can get the layered lilly and pizza box together here.

Note: there is a wonderful tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers on making a mini pizza box so if you don’t have a cricut you may want to try it.

We still have design team members who haven’t given out their freebies yet (I designed a digital stamp for each of my DT members to give away for a week, you will need to check out their blogs and see who has this weeks freebie and be sure to leave some love!) Without further ado here is the fabulous design team:
